Come Drive Innovation with Us. We’re currently looking for a Warehouse Operator to join our team in Somerset, NJ.

This role will be responsible for performing a combination of the following tasks related to the receipt, storage, and shipment of automotive parts and accessories, and contributing to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.

A Day in the Life:   

The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives.

  • Receives incoming items by opening crates and other containers using hand tools, verifying and sorting contents, and moving to specified area for distribution to stock locations.

  • Places materials on racks or shelves, according to a predetermined sequence such as size, type, etc.  Marks same with identifying information as required.

  • Locates parts and accessories specified on the shipping label, loads onto cart or truck, and moves to sorting and shipping area.

  • Operates a hand truck or powered truck as necessary.

  • Prepares orders for shipment by verifying materials against label, packing items to minimize damage, weighing and labeling individual parcels, and moving to loading location for pick up by carrier or dealer.

  • Ensures compliance with all safety policies and practices.

  • Maintains cleanliness and organization based on 5S standards.

  • Participates in management efforts towards process improvements.

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience required plus a High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

  • Ability to use a computer to look up data or information utilizing Nissan’s Warehouse Management System (WMS).

  • Ability to read and follow detailed instructions, as well as decipher and verify multi-digit part numbers. 

  • Ability to use and follow instructions utilizing a handheld scanner and work an On-Board Monitor.

  • Ability to physically perform all tasks listed in job functions and reach-truck operations, which may involve continuous use of mechanical controls requiring repetitive hand/arm motion and lifting up to 50 lbs. 

  • Ability to work on-site in Somerset, NJ.

Preferred:

  • Related warehouse experience, such as receiving/stockkeeping or picking/packing, is desirable.

  • Forklift (HiLo) or Stand-Up Reach Truck strongly preferred.
