Warehouse & Shipping Operator

Synergy’s American headquarters is located in Wauconda, Illinois with additional operations in Rochester, New York; Hamilton, Ohio; and Brazil. Additionally, we have operations in the UK, Ireland and Thailand.
The Warehouse & Shipping Operator performs a variety of shipping and receiving tasks. Verifies materials received are as ordered and routes incoming items to appropriate locations. Prepares items for shipment ensuring proper documents are attached to shipments.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares customer orders for shipments.
Checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from suppliers.
Process packages via UPS Worldship and FedEx Ship Manager.
Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor purchasing and quality control personnel.
May be Department of Transportation’s Hazardous Materials Regulations (49CFR, Parts 171-180) Certified.
May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate shrink-wrap machine.
Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
Supports the inventory process by conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and performing other inventory-related tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency in stock management.

Qualifications & Skills Required:
High School Diploma or GED, documentation skills, math skills with at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing ingredient plant preferred.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working in a GMP, Food Safety work environment with a complete understanding of warehouse activities.
Strong focus on customer commitment.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Fork truck certification.
Must follow safety requirements and ensure the production team follows the PPE requirements (safety shoes, safety glasses, face shield and respirator).
Starting Salary : $18.00/hr
The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled.
