The Role: Warehouse Operative

To work within the Stores areas providing an efficient service to both internal and external customers. To perform a variety of Stores duties in a safe and accurate manner, under the supervision of the Stores Controller.
Key Responsibilities
  • Checking inbound supplier deliveries against delivery notes and processing these on SAP.
  • Complying with all Work Instructions and Process Documents to ensure audit compliance and accuracy.
  • Accurately and safely putting stock away in the Store racking and picking bin locations.
  • Processing receipt of faulty and repaired serialized parts using FSM.
  • Informing relevant internal departments of incoming goods and ensuring appropriate documentation is completed.
  • Ensuring all stock, project, and engineer orders/requisitions/material requests are processed in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Undertaking stock checking and perpetual inventory counting as required.
  • Maintaining an accurate stock location system at all times.
  • Operating Manual Handling equipment and Forklift Trucks correctly and safely.
  • Maintaining security throughout the stores and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Undertaking training as required and developing personal skill levels.
  • Maintaining a high standard of Housekeeping in both the Stores and the outside Yard.
  • Keeping the Stores Controller informed of any adverse circumstances or issues.
  • Complying with security policies and procedures of the organisation.
  • Adhering to Cubic’s values and all company policies and procedures.

What We’re Looking For
  • IT literate – MS Word and Excel.
  • Experienced in operating ERP or WMS computer systems, ideally SAP and FSM.
  • Previous experience of working in a stores/warehouse environment.
  • Hold a current Forklift Truck license (preferable, not essential).
  • Used to working to tight deadlines.
  • Use of Safe Manual Handling techniques.
  • Experienced in a heavily controlled and audited ISO and H&S environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with regards to basic numerical tasks and data entry.
