Work Hours: 40hrs
Profile: Experience in warehouse operations or related field is preferred

Job Overview: The Warehouse Operations Leader is responsible for managing daily warehouse activities and ensuring efficient processes are in place. This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex tasks related to warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports and assists in executing strategies in the warehouse organization.

  • Participates in the development and implementation of new ideas, techniques, procedures, services, or products under guidance.

  • Focuses on specific tasks within the warehouse with clearly defined objectives.

  • Collaborates effectively within the immediate team or work domain as required to maximize job impact and personal learning.

  • Works under direct supervision, follows well-defined precedents and policies

Job Qualifications

Job Qualifications:
 

Hard Skills:

  • Understanding of inventory control systems and processes.

  • Familiarity with software used for managing warehouse operations, such as WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).

  • Ability to perform calculations related to inventory, shipment quantities, and order processing.

  • Understanding of workplace safety standards and regulations applicable to warehouse environments.

  • Certification and ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Eagerness for personal learning and development opportunities.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to a positive team enviroment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly to team members and supervisors.

  • Ability to identify issues and propose practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Skill in prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines and maintain operational efficiency.

  • Willingness to adjust to changing priorities and work demands in a dynamic warehouse setting.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse leadership role is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) for reporting and documentation.

  • Understanding of customer service principles, as warehouse operations often impact customer satisfaction.

  • Familiarity with lean principles and practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Basic understanding of logistics and the shipping/receiving process in a warehouse context.

  • Proficiency in English for communication in diverse work environments.
