Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and supervising the daily operations of the warehouse, including inventory control, receiving, material staging, dispatching, and storage. This role ensures that all warehouse activities are executed safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining proper inventory levels and supporting operational production and installation schedules.
Manage inventory levels and ensure timely ordering/replenishment of stock to support production and installation requirements.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee inbound receiving, put-away, staging, and outbound dispatch activities.
Ensure warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safe storage of all materials and product types.
Lead, manage, and develop warehouse team members, ensuring proper workflow, accountability, and performance standards.
Maintain accurate inventory records, including receipts, transfers, holds, adjustments, and returns.
Conduct routine cycle counts and perform/submit quarterly physical inventories.
Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, safety regulations, and company warehouse procedures.
Implement warehouse best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
Operate warehouse equipment (including forklifts) safely and effectively, and ensure proper equipment care and use.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
2-4 years of applicable warehouse leadership, inventory control, or logistics experience
Preferred
Experience in construction materials, flooring, countertops, or building product warehousing
Forklift certification
Strong technology skills; ability to leverage warehouse management systems and tools in daily operations
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High level of organizational and time management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve problems efficiently and positively
Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and work collaboratively across teams
Excellent supervisory/leadership skills with ability to coach, train, and motivate others
Knowledge of principles, procedures, and best practices in warehouse and inventory management
Ability to safely operate a forklift
