Warehouse Manager Cold Store Food (Maasvlakte)

We are seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations in our cold storage facility. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing warehouse staff, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to set up and shape the warehouse operations from the ground up, giving you significant influence in establishing best practices and operational structures. Safety is our top priority, and you will be expected to enforce and uphold the highest safety standards across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of fresh and frozen products.
• Manage and lead a team of warehouse staff, ensuring productivity, safety, and adherence to company policies.
• Develop, implement, and enforce strict safety protocols to ensure a zero-incident workplace.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and implement best practices for stock management.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, health & safety protocols, and Maersk operational standards.
• Optimize warehouse processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Implement and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in cold storage areas.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements, including temperature monitoring and reporting.
• Continuously train and develop warehouse staff to maintain high levels of operational excellence and safety awareness.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar leadership role in a cold store, logistics environment or food manufacturing
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software
• Experience handling perishable goods and working in temperature-controlled environments
• Demonstrated experience in leading safety initiatives and compliance with health & safety regulations
• Leadership and team management skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations and food safety standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Proficiency in English (Dutch is a plus).

The job is located full time at Maasvlakte site.
