The Role
We are currently looking to fill a Warehouse Leading Hand position at Tatura, Victoria.
Our Tatura site is an icon in the region, well known worldwide for its quality dairy products. As the country’s largest producer of cream cheese, it also produces infant formula, nutritional lactoferrin, various milk powders, and our famous single-serve butter.
This position is responsible for the physical and system accuracy of the inventory footprint at the Warehouse and leading teams to ensure correct storage receipt and despatch of Bega Tatura Milk Industries Stock Keeping Unit (SKUs).
The role follows a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, consisting of 2 day shifts and 2 night shifts, worked across an 8‑day moving roster, which also means that there is expectation to work weekends and public holidays
Day Shift 6AM to 6PM
Night Shift 6PM to 6AM
Responsibilities
Lead the team and supervise transportation, distribution, picking and logistic of our products.
Responsible for dispatching, receiving trucks on time to keep the operation going; as well as manage safety incidents, investigation and reporting.
Actively seek continuous improvement opportunities and translate to action
Ensure compliance to food safety, environmental and good manufacturing practices are followed
Support the sites annual operation plans and communicate to teams to ensure cascading of information
About you
Proven experience in similar settings, valid forklift license (must have) and HR license (desirable)
Strong people focus, leadership and the desire to build strong teamwork
Strong verbal & written communication & customer service skills
Ability to build and support a positive Safety and Wellbeing Culture
Sound knowledge of computer systems (e.g: Microsoft)
