The Role: Warehouse Assistant

This role is fully responsible for timely and accurate receipt and processing of incoming inventories as well as timely and accurate preparation and shipment of customer orders at the Markham Warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unload, unpack and check incoming shipments and verify that goods received match packing slips according to quantities, descriptions and lot expiry dates, placing them in their correct storage locations.

  • Pick, check and pack customer orders to ensure that product catalog and lot numbers are correctly picked.

  • Processing returns from the hospitals                                            

  • Following-up and tracking critical shipments.

  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the warehouse following 6S and lean practices in the best possible 

  • Ability to drive forklift and reach-truck safely to place and pick skids/ shipments as deemed needed.                                            

  • Check and service all the equipment on a daily-basis to ensure continuity of operations.                                                                  

  • Improve the current processes making it leaner and customer-centric. (kaizen mindset)

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma

  • Forklift and reach truck Operator's Certificate

Pay Transparency:

  • A reasonable estimate of the hourly rate for this position is $25-$28 CAD per hour. Pay ranges may vary by location.
