What you’ll contribute to

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse and Maintenance Specialist to join our Aftersales Division.

The Warehouse and Maintenance Specialist is primarily responsible for developing, reviewing, evaluating and continuously improving warehousing and logistics systems and processes at the Toyota Parts Centre Altona in order to ensure cost savings, increased productivity and a greater alignment of supplier ordering and service rate targets in line with the Long-Term Business Plan.

This is a permanent role based in Altona North with flexible work arrangements.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Provides specialist advice on and assists managers in the development of policies and standards for transport and operations in order to improve warehousing and logistics performance.

  • Coordinates, implements and monitors multi-phase Project activities to agreed milestones in order to improve warehousing capacities and logistics performance. 

  • Contributes to the design, implementation and continuous improvement of business systems, processes and controls (including IT) for all warehousing operations, to ensure they are in-line with warehousing best practice in performance and output. Implements new initiatives to support operational cost savings. Conducts training gap analysis.

  • Coordinates and facilitates forums with key stakeholders to ensure that project plans, progress and issues are clearly communicated to all stakeholders and minimise warehousing, delivery, transport and quality issues for the parts and accessories supply chain.

  • Coordinates and reviews Packaging requirements at a national level to ensure stock levels are effectively controlled and optimised to achieve divisional goals and overall financial objectives. Ensures cost control and expenditure within budget.

  • Acts as a liaison in relation to process issues, warehousing systems and operations. Resolves complex issues and implements countermeasures, ensuring stakeholder buy-in.

  • Degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent experience  

  • Experience working in logistics and/or supply chain management.

  • Strong background in project planning and coordination

  • Proven capability in data analysis and systems implementation

  • Exposure to CAD systems (desirable)

  • Experience engaging and liaising with suppliers and external stakeholders
