About the Role
The Walt Disney World® Resort is looking for a creative, dynamic communicator to support the Communications & Public Affairs department and the Executive Communications team. This position will primarily support the development of graphics, social media content, presentation templates, and other assets as needed by the team.
The intern will report to the Senior Manager of Executive Communications.
This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in Orlando, Florida, from June 2026 through January 2027.
What You Will Do
As an Executive Communications & Public Affairs Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Contribute to the development of executive communication strategies
- Develop and design presentations
- Film and edit videos for social media channels
- Design graphics as needed for the Communications & Public Affairs team
- Collaborate with the Communications & Public Affairs team to help ensure we tell our stories in the most innovative and creative ways
- Build relationships with partners locally and across the company to amplify our message
- Support the planning and execution of executive communications programs and events
- Assist with the preparation, communication, and facilitation of executive communications presentations
- Assist with coordinating and supporting ongoing executive engagement tactics
- Create and update various forms of written communication, such as scripts and correspondence
- General administrative support

- Demonstrated proficiency in design and photo editing/experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro or other video editing software
- Expertise in capturing and editing content for social media, including Instagram and LinkedIn
- Experience with both Mac and Windows operating systems, with high expertise in Mac
- Willingness to learn new software applications
- Available to work evenings and weekends when needed
It Would Also Be Great If You Have/Are Familiar With
- Previous Disney experience
- Experience with public speaking and sharing professional presentations
- Experience in crafting and organizing events, as well as providing on-site support
- Previous experience supporting executives or public figures (e.g., local government officials)
- Social media strategizing and planning experience
- Experience with Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft 365 applications
Education
- Junior or Senior year preferred
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, English, Creative Writing, Marketing, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Journalism, Customer Engagement, Social Communication, Broadcast Communications, or other relevant subjects

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess unrestricted work authorization.
Additional Information
- The approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 through January 2027
- Fully available from Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time Zone, with possible weekends or shifts that are outside of these hours for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, Florida area.
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
