Job Description

The Walmart Analytics and Automation Senior Manager will be responsible for leveraging data analytics and automation to drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency within P&Gs Walmart business.

Within Walmart Team Category Management, the Analytics and Automation Senior Manager will lead category analytics on on fabric care category team for overall Walmart business performance and modular impact. With a combination of analytical expertise, data and system knowledge, and business insight you will answer and anticipate critical business questions and deliver insights to the business in ways that make significant impacts. You will improve analytical programs and drive automation to deliver data & insights at the speed of retail.


Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze the variable granular data of the business and regularly use advanced models to deliver business insights across diverse business domains.
  • Develop and implement data analytics strategies to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within Walmart sales, inventory, and supply chain data.
  • Lead the design and development of automated reporting, dashboards, and tools to provide real-time insights to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to understand business challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions.
  • Oversee the collection, cleansing, and organization of large datasets from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Mentor and develop a team of data analysts and automation specialists.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process automation to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Present complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner to senior leadership.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices in data analytics, automation, and retail technology.

Job Qualifications

Required

  • A Bachelor or Masters’ Degree in a quantitative field (Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, Management/Business Information Systems, or related degree)
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
  • Data management and visualization skills / tools in one or all of the following (SQL, KNIME, Tableau, Power BI or similar).
  • Strong business acumen & communication skills, including the ability to deliver a clear story to influence agreement to your recommendations with data and insights.
  • Self-motivated to work with diverse business scenarios, prioritizing multiple priorities and have a business and consultancy mind-set, while technically (data) savvy, and passionate about discovering new/better ways of doing things!

Preferred

  • A minimum of 7 years of related work experience
  • A minimum of 4 years in analytics within consumer goods, retail, e-commerce or related industry
  • Programming language knowledge (Python, R, C+, Java)
  • Demonstrated experience consulting with non-technical business partners to identify high-value analytical opportunities
