We’re hiring a Director of Product Management to lead Catalyst, one of OneMain Financial’s most important transformations. Catalyst is a multi‑year effort modernizing our core loan origination platform—replacing legacy systems and transforming how thousands of team members and millions of customers do their work every day.
This role is for a senior product leader with strong executive presence who can set strategy and drive execution, partner deeply with Engineering, and lead complex platform, experience, and analytics work at scale. It’s a high‑visibility role with real impact on how the business operates.
Responsibilities:
Define and own the end‑to‑end product strategy and multi‑year roadmap for Catalyst, aligning with OneMain’s business and technology transformation goals.
Lead a complex portfolio across team member experience, customer experience, platform modernization, and analytics enablement.
Translate strategic objectives into clear, sequenced, and executable product plans that support incremental delivery at scale.
Partner deeply with Engineering and Design to balance architecture, delivery velocity, and long‑term scalability while modernizing core origination systems.
Drive customer and team‑member experience transformation by simplifying workflows, reducing cognitive load, and integrating continuous field feedback.
Embed analytics and data capabilities across the platform, defining success metrics and using insights to inform prioritization and trade‑offs.
Lead multiple product teams with strong operating rigor, accountability, and a collaborative, team‑over‑individual mindset.
Serve as a senior spokesperson for Catalyst, delivering clear executive‑level communication of vision, progress, and risks.
Qualifications:
10+ years of product management experience, including leadership of large‑scale, highly complex platforms or transformation programs.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
Proven success driving technology modernization initiatives that include operating‑model or process transformation.
Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Engineering and Design in technical environments.
Strong strategic problem‑solving skills with a track record of translating vision into delivered outcomes.
Exceptional organizational skills with experience managing multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and dependencies.
Experience operating in regulated environments; financial services or lending experience preferred.
Ability to influence and communicate at all organizational levels, including senior and executive leadership
Preferred:
Experience modernizing or replacing legacy core systems at scale.
Background building or enhancing team‑member or customer‑facing operational platforms (originations, servicing, workflow systems).
Strong understanding of analytics, data platforms, and embedding insights into user experiences.
Experience leading product organizations through multi‑year transformation programs.
Familiarity with cloud‑based architectures and modern software delivery practices.
Knowledge of lending, credit, or loan‑origination processes.
Location:
This role is Hybrid. You should be located within a commutable distance to one of our offices located in New York City, NY, Wilmington, DE, Baltimore, MD, with expectations of being in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Salary:
Target base salary range for New York, NY and Baltimore, MD is $170k-210k, which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.
