YOUR ROLE:

As VP, Technology, you will be the senior partner to our clients’ marketing, data, and technology organizations—helping them transform their customer experience through intelligent, data-driven marketing ecosystems. You will shape the MarTech vision, architect modern data and decisioning solutions, and translate complex business challenges into actionable, scalable technical execution.

This role sits at the intersection of Marketing Technology, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Architecture. You will lead discovery sessions with C-suite stakeholders, define future-state architectures, and partner with Engineering Leads to bring next-generation omnichannel marketing and data activations to life.

You will play a critical leadership role in how brands use first-party data, AI-powered decisioning, real-time activation, cloud technologies, and multi-channel automation to create meaningful one-to-one connections with millions of individuals.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Serve as the primary technology advisor to clients—understanding their marketing vision, data maturity, and current-state challenges.
  • Translate business goals into scalable data-driven marketing architectures and technical roadmaps.
  • Facilitate workshops with Marketing, Data, Product, and Engineering stakeholders to define requirements and align on solution direction.

MarTech, Data & Architecture Strategy

  • Assess clients’ existing MarTech, CDP, and data ecosystem; identify capability gaps and define a multi-phase transformation roadmap.
  • Architect integrated solutions spanning data ingestion, identity resolution, segmentation, decisioning, orchestration, real-time activation, and measurement.
  • Recommend omnichannel journeys, next-best-action frameworks, UX/UI touchpoints, and modern campaign orchestration workflows.

Data, Analytics & AI/ML Decisioning

  • Analyze marketing and behavioral data to inform segmentation, personalization opportunities, and performance insights.
  • Define data integration patterns into Campaign, CDP, and Analytics platforms.
  • Lead the design of automated decisioning and next-best-action engines using AI/ML models, predictive analytics, and rules-based logic.
  • Ensure data architecture supports scale, governance, privacy, and real-time use cases.

Implementation Leadership

  • Lead configuration, customization, and integration of platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Journey Optimizer/Adobe Campaign, Braze, CDPs, CMS/DAM systems, and adjacent tech.
  • Define non-functional requirements for performance, security, availability, and operational readiness.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business Analysts to break large business capabilities into technical epics and development plans.
  • Oversee end-to-end implementation across engineering teams—ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery.

Team & People Leadership

  • Manage a team of technologists, architects, and developers; provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and career development.
  • Build a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and client-centric delivery.
  • Lead technical work sessions, solution reviews, and architecture governance routines.

REQUIRES SKILLS:

  • 12+ years of IT/Technology experience with 5+ years in MarTech, AdTech, or Data-driven Precision Marketing.
  • Hands-on expertise with Marketing Automation platforms:
Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign/Journey Optimizer, Braze, or similar.
  • Strong experience designing and deploying multi-channel campaigns, automated journeys, and real-time decisioning workflows.
  • Experience with data architectures supporting customer 360, identity resolution, segmentation, analytics, and activation.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP), APIs, data pipelines, CDPs, and modern data modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into data flows, integration patterns, and scalable architecture frameworks.
  • Fully comfortable in a client-facing executive role, guiding senior stakeholders through technical and strategic decisions.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams and running effective technical workshops.
  • Highly collaborative, solutions-oriented, and adept at navigating ambiguity.
  • Strong communication skills—able to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple concurrent initiatives.
