The Opportunity

With the continued growth of CenterWell Home Health and OneHome, the VP, Segment CIO – Home Solutions plays a critical role in shaping how technology enables care delivery, operational excellence, and innovation across the home-based care continuum. This role is a transformational leadership opportunity at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and scale.

The Segment CIO is a senior executive responsible for defining and executing multi‑year technology strategies that improve patient, clinician, and operator experience while running large, complex technology environments. While experience across both provider and payer technology is preferred, candidates with large‑scale transformation experience from other industries or Tier 1 consulting firms will also be considered.

The role reports to the SVP & CIO for CenterWell and Corporate Services and leads ~150 associates and partners, working in a matrixed model with Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, and Cybersecurity teams.

Segment scope:

The Home Solutions Segment CIO has direct responsibility for approximately ~100 associates and sourcing partners and resources and works through a matrixed structure for delivery with Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture and Cyber Security services. The role reports directly to the SVP and CIO for CenterWell and Corporate Services. Responsibilities

Role Summary

The VP, Segment CIO – Home Solutions leads strategy, innovation, technology delivery, and operations for CenterWell Home Health and OneHome. As a member of the Home Solutions leadership team, this leader acts as a change agent—driving modernization, digital transformation, and operational excellence aligned to CenterWell and Humana enterprise strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Strategist

  • Aligns technology strategy to Home Solutions, CenterWell, Integrated Health, and Humana enterprise priorities.

  • Defines and executes near‑term and 3–5‑year technology roadmaps.

  • Maximizes business value from technology investments and communicates a clear IT vision to executive stakeholders.

Innovator

  • Serves as an enterprise change leader with a future‑state vision and execution roadmap.

  • Drives large, multi‑year transformation programs, including AI-enabled initiatives.

  • Advances innovation through business process redesign, new digital capabilities, and operating model evolution.

Technologist

  • Leads architecture and platform strategy to improve agility, personalization, scalability, and cost efficiency.

  • Brings deep experience across clinical systems (EMRs), analytics, population health, digital experience, interoperability, automation, virtual care, remote monitoring, and generative AI.

  • Oversees technology standards, risk management, and cybersecurity posture across the ecosystem.

Operator

  • Ensures reliable, secure, and cost‑effective IT operations across a nationwide, multi‑site environment.

  • Oversees service delivery, SLAs, performance monitoring, and vendor partnerships.

  • Manages operating and capital budgets with strong financial discipline.

People & Leadership

  • Builds and leads a high‑performing technology organization; develops future leaders.

  • Establishes clear goals, operating metrics, and continuous improvement practices.

  • Partners effectively across a highly matrixed enterprise.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • 15+ years of IT experience, including leading large, distributed technology organizations.

  • 8+ years in senior leadership or large‑scale transformation roles (industry or consulting).

  • Proven experience defining digital roadmaps and leading enterprise‑wide, cross‑segment programs.

  • Strong executive communication skills, including Board‑level engagement.

  • Experience with M&A integration, platform standardization, and modernization.
