We are looking for a customer and partner obsessed Product Manager that is focused on delivering best in class products within the Secured Installment Loan market. As a critical member of the Product organization, the Secured Installment Product Manager will own the customer need while developing and leading the product roadmap to achieve customer, partner, and business objectives. This role requires being the customer, market, and product subject matter expert, using data to identify opportunities, gaining alignment with the organization and key stakeholders, and leading the development of technology-driven, innovative solutions and enhancements. The ideal candidate is comfortable with ambiguity, thrives in a fast-moving agile environment, collaborates effectively across teams, and acts as an owner by proactively taking initiative.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Manage, develop, and drive Synchrony’s Secured Installment product; provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the Secured Installment loan portfolio to meet business growth, profitability, and customer needs
Own the entire product development lifecycle, from initial ideation, market research and cost/benefit analysis through business requirements gathering, wing-to-wing experience, build and testing.
Translate customer insights, competitive landscape, and market trends into innovative product features and enhancements that improve customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
Define clear product requirements and user stories, collaborating closely with technology and design teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
Engage with our agile product development processes, working with product technology, user experience designers, engineers, and data scientists to continuously refine the product based on user feedback and data analytics.
Drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment to ensure features are prioritized effectively against other initiates
Partner with risk and underwriting teams to embed innovative credit decisioning models and fraud detection technologies within the product framework.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to design go-to-market plans that effectively communicate product benefits and value propositions.
Liaise closely with Business Development to ensure consumer products are accurately represented in RFP responses, develop compelling business cases aligned with optimal product strategies, and provide guidance to new business implementation teams to ensure successful build and launch of products for new portfolios
Manage and optimize product performance via KPIs and analytics, making data-driven decisions to enhance product profitability and customer satisfaction.
Proactively engage with Compliance and Legal to ensure adherence with all external and internal compliance and regulatory requirements
Lead cross-functional teams, in a matrixed environment, through project plans that include major milestones, critical risk indicators, measures of success and contingencies.
Stay abreast of industry developments, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies impacting secured installment lending.
Act as a key liaison with executive leadership and external partners on product performance, strategy, and competitive positioning.
Perform special assignments & other duties as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 10 years of marketing or product experience in the credit card or financial services industries
Minimum of 6 years marketing or product expertise that includes:
A proven track record of launching new products or applications with demonstrated business impact
Ability to influence and coordinate multi-functional teams
Effective verbal and written communication skills across functions and multiple levels of leadership
Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required
Desired Qualifications:
Credit card, consumer finance or financial services industry experience
Experience within Secured Installment Loan industry; understanding of dealer dynamic in the Outdoor and Powersports Industries.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex initiatives and projects in a matrixed environment.
Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills.
Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results.
5+ years marketing or product innovation/management experience
5+ years managing people and teams
Strong background working with clients, reporting on performance and delivering results.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions in a fast-changing environment.
P&L experience with solid understanding of business financials
Current on financial services, payments industry trends, competitors, emerging technologies and companies
Strong technical knowledge (financial services)
Product commercialization experience, marketing and communications expertise
Grade/Level: 12
The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
