Role Overview
As the VP, Sales you will inspire leadership and execution of AMN corporate strategies by developing the budget including workforce and production priorities within Locum Tenens, developing sales drivers and motivating team members to achieve our financial goals.
You’ll develop and implement go-to market strategy and ensure revenue targets are met as we continue to navigate through accelerated growth and change. You will manage a team of individual producers as you also provide leadership to the greater sales / recruitment organization of approximately 70+ team members.
Role Specifics
More specifically, your key responsibilities will be to:
- Report financial results to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors including projections detailing revenue generation and profitability opportunities to further refine the operations plans to outpace market factors.
- Strategize with division leadership on a weekly basis to evaluate projections in terms of production metrics to implement plans that address fluctuating regional performance and exceed monthly revenue and budget quota.
- Review financial budgets and business plans from divisional leadership to determine viability and integrate with broader critical initiatives to achieve expected results.
- Establish company goals based on enterprise-wide strategy and implement through divisional leadership.
- Evaluate budget performance for each divisional leader by measuring production results with respect to business drivers to recognize opportunities to improve revenue and profitability growth.
- Establish and enforce organizational metrics that define performance expectations to reward success and diagnose areas and individuals that are below expectations.
- Supervise the attraction and hiring of new team members by partnering with Talent Acquisition, mentoring hiring leaders, and evaluating hiring processes thereby increasing the chances of selecting for the best fit.
- Evaluate Locum Tenens leadership candidates against position profile using interviews and competency assessments to identify those most likely to fit the role and team and learn quickly.
- Manage Locum Tenens headcount through ongoing performance evaluations according to competency and top grading standards to improve staff productivity metrics.
- Coach and mentor team members on sales management and leadership skills through observation and encouragement to foster personal growth, career development and succession opportunities.
- Be responsible for the development process for sales team members within the business line to identify strategic actions that address international, global, and enterprise-wide development opportunities.
- Manage employee and leader concerns by advocating for team members while maintaining compliance with corporate and legal perspective to minimize workforce disruptions and retain committed team members.
- Sponsor and lead sales process improvements throughout Locums including implementation.
- Facilitate innovation and execution of process changes across production, Marketing, IT, Shared Services, and all relevant corporate partners.
- Champion new processes across multiple divisions (shared services, business and corporate) by taking a well-rounded view of problems/opportunities while proposing value, casting vision, and managing change.
- Measure the viability of process improvements and system enhancements by quantifying recommendations geared towards reducing waste and increasing business results. Formulate and measure return on investment throughout projects and initiatives.
- Prepare company presentations for monthly, quarterly, and annual meetings to update the Executive Committee on financial and organizational strengths and gaps.
- Use corporate resources, policies and structure to staff and develop engaged teams to achieve strategic and financial goals with the largest return for the company.
To be a strong fit for this opportunity we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 7 years of sales experience
- 5 years of Enterprise Sales leadership experience and a proven track record of coaching and mentoring teams via strong funnel management
- Strong financial competence, experience managing budgets and revenues of at least $100M
- High-energy, tenacious, and creative, able to put in the effort to empower others
- Resilient, adaptable, flexible, and friendly
- Ability to communicate effectively and build strategic relationships
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in healthcare staffing sales/recruiting
- Physician-specific experience in some capacity (health systems, locum tenens, physician practices, etc.)
You should also be willing and able to travel as needed to visit clients, other locations and attend meetings / events
At AMN we recognize that in-person connections have value and promote collaboration. You will be expected to come into an AMN Healthcare office at a frequency dependent on the work arrangement for your role.
Pay Rate
$200,000 - $250,000 Salary
Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
