VP/ Relationship Manager

Job Description

We are a client-focused and research-driven investment management firm and the team is dedicated to building and servicing a retail client base in Japan, covering various distributors including securities, insurance, banks, etc.

Relationship Manager (RM) has responsibilities to create and maintain effective and efficient relationships with distributors due to obtain mandates. In addition, RM must have responsibility for increasing our fund AUM with distributors.

RM must collaborate with associates, Product Development, Retail Product Marketing, Product Management Office, Portfolio Management Office, Operation, Business Development and Legal and Compliance.

RM must coordinate client servicing activities and provide solutions to clients associated with several team members above. RM must have responsibilities to develop our retail business. This includes, is not limited to:

Business Development

• Provide new products to distributors and receive mandates

• Conduct training sessions and lectures for distributors

• Conduct competitive analysis of the retail industry

Client Relations

• Create trusted relationship with distributors

• Respond to regular and ad-hoc request from distributors

Servicing

• Respond inquiries from distributors

• Coordinate business developments, fund launching, contracts, fund promotions and investment guideline management with several departments in AB including foreign offices.

The successful candidates will have a good balance of outstanding passion, knowledge, and skills. Especially, desired qualifications include:

• Professional experiences as a RM with large distributors in asset management farm

• Outstanding capability to develop business with strong interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels within/outside the firm

• Enormous passion and energy to learn necessary knowledge and skills and achieve outstanding performance at this position

• Skills in promoting operational efficiency and digitalization on retail sales activities.

• Proactiveness to share best practices and dedication to the teamwork.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skill both in English and Japanese

• CMA /CFA or equivalent level of knowledge on investment and financial markets
