Reporting directly to the President, Personal Systems, this role is accountable for shaping and executing the current and future strategy for Personal Systems (PS) Category Business Management. The leader will own the category’s core performance metrics, define long-term strategic direction, and ensure strong execution against near-term priorities in alignment with broader Category and Enterprise objectives.

This role carries full accountability for category performance, including financial outcomes, operational excellence, and value creation, while partnering closely across HP to deliver sustainable growth and shareholder impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership to a global organization, fostering a high-performance, inclusive, and results-driven culture.

  • Define and lead the global category strategy and operating model, translating long-term business vision into disciplined execution and operational excellence.

  • Own and deliver against financial, strategic, and operational objectives, consistently achieving or exceeding business goals.

  • Develop and execute value creation and cost optimization strategies to drive improved profitability and long-term margin expansion.

  • Make strategic decisions across the technology roadmap, R&D investment, and long-term pricing strategy, ensuring competitive differentiation and market leadership.

  • Deliver a clear, measurable strategy that drives quarterly impact to the Global P&L, with full understanding of end-to-end financial performance and capital return.

  • Articulate a compelling return on investment narrative for HP shareholders and senior stakeholders.

  • Build strong, trusted partnerships across the Personal Systems organization and key HP functions, including Marketing, Commercial, Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field

  • MBA strongly preferred

Experience

  • Demonstrated success leading and delivering results against a global P&L.

  • Proven ability to optimize operating models, frameworks, and processes to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Deep business acumen with broad technical, industry, and product domain expertise across engineering, technology, or product-driven organizations.

  • Strong track record navigating highly matrixed, global enterprises with complex stakeholder environments.

  • Exceptional problem-solving capability, with the ability to synthesize complex issues into clear, actionable strategies.

  • Strategic leadership demonstrated through market insight, sound business judgment, and a history of making high-impact decisions.

  • Strong organizational leadership skills, balancing results delivery with talent development, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Advanced communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior leadership and C-suite audiences through written, verbal, and executive-level presentations.

  • Extensive experience building trusted relationships with senior internal and external partners, including executive-level consulting and influence.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong business and product management expertise, coupled with exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Agile, solutions-oriented mindset with the discipline to implement robust business processes that improve planning, alignment, and decision-making.

  • Proven ability to align feature forecasts with product strategy, including management of complex product transitions.

  • Outstanding interpersonal, listening, and influencing skills.

Compensation & Benefits

The base pay range for this role is $266,000 – $320,000 USD annually, with additional opportunities for bonus and/or equity (U.S.-based candidates only). Compensation is determined by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
