VP – Product Cost

The Vice President, UKIMP Product Cost will define and execute projects which improve product cost across the UK&I Mature Programmes portfolio to maximize return on investment and deliver our commitments. The projects will include technical cost out, tied heavily to engineering change and/or strategic change. They will utilize experts within the UKIMP organization to drive outcomes. The role will report to the Director, UK&I Mature Programmes and support the Program SVPs
What you will be doing
Strategic leadership of product cost across all UKIMP applications and across the product life cycle, working in collaboration with the supporting areas (i.e. Business Support, Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement), setting the requirements, managing risk and driving the overarching plan to reduce product cost
Lead cross functional teams to create and deploy the strategy to deliver technical cost out, being the accountable person for prioritizing and securing investment and resources with business cases through internal governance, ROI targets, and corresponding schedules
Programme manage the execution of the cost reduction activities required to deliver the cost reduction strategy for the portfolio, to include proactively managing risks and opportunities, working closely with the cross functional teams
