Position Title: Vice President, Licensing, IMG Licensing Japan Division

Reporting to: Senior Vice President, IMG Licensing Asia and/or
President IMG Licensing Worldwide
Main Responsibilities: The main role would involve overseeing the licensing strategy and leading the licensing business in Japan. This includes development of new business at higher level in qualitative and quantitative manners, managing partnership with clients and local licensees, and maximizing revenue streams. Additionally, you would be responsible for developing and executing long-term licensing strategies in Japan to support Company’s goals and objectives. Strong leadership, negotiation and strategic planning skills are expected to lead the team in Japan.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Establishing a long-term licensing strategy in Japan, to set the aggressive goals based on Company’s expectations and requirements.
- Development of new business opportunities for Licensing in Japan over all clients.
- Managing Japan licensing business by supporting team members in Tokyo to maintain the great partnership with local companies.
- Managing the target forecast and collection of royalties by closely working with Licensing finance team.
- Reporting monthly key highlight of business in Japan to SVP Asia, to review the monthly activities and fill in the shortfall if any.
- Review of key clients on a quarterly basis, mainly WWE, UFC, NFL, FCA (US/EU), working on the quarterly reports, and attendance of relevant conference calls to summarize the activities, plans, and achievements in Japan.
- Supporting Creative team and PD team to improve the entire process and develop more sufficient exposure and the system.
- Supporting Legal Team locally to upgrade the eLicensing system for the regular review and report to SVP Asia and President of IMG Licensing Worldwide.
- Periodical review of team members both in performance and respective goals.
You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the role. And your manager may set key performance indicators from time to time.
