The Role

Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the VP, Global Solution Consulting, will be a key member of the Global Revenue leadership team. This role will lead a team of 200+ solution consulting resources and will be responsible for transforming and scaling the global presales organization to support and drive revenue growth. This will include developing and deploying global processes, engagement models, protocols, enablement, talent, operating model, infrastructure, and organization structure to support a global presales organization.

In addition to leading presales transformation, this role will be responsible for continuing the day-to-day operations which will require a high level of partnership with other global and regional sales leaders as well as building a strong and diverse global leadership team to ensure business continuity. This role will require a strong understanding of operational presales including industry benchmarks, and best practices to effectively and efficiently lead operations.

Your Impact

  • Lead the day-to-day Global Solution Consulting Organization
  • Work collaboratively with the regional and global sales leaders to establish a structure to support the growth and scale of the AspenTech business
  • Optimize the partnership and support provided to the regional sales leaders for each of our regions
  • Contribute to the global revenue leadership team as we continue to transform the Global Revenue organization to align to the business growth trajectory
  • Develop a best-in-class organizational structure, succession plan, and career paths to meet the needs of the business for the future
  • Establish global engagement models that align to segmentation, coverage, and capacity standards
  • Build a leadership team to enable a global presales organization
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness across Solution Consulting
  • Develop and track key metrics to assess effectiveness, cost, and capacity
  • Model the AspenTech values and leadership principles

What You'll Need

  • 15+ years of experience leading national, regional or worldwide Solution Consulting and/or pre-sales teams within the Software Industry.
  • Thought leader and experience in value engineering or value selling programs and capabilities
  • Partnering with senior leaders to bridge between sales, engineering and business units
  • Experience with optimizing capacity and coverage planning by region, sub-region, and all account segments
  • Experience with best practice WW processes, tools and building a world class organization
  • Balance of technical expertise and functional/business expertise
  • Experience of recruiting, developing, managing and leading large global teams
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across a matrix style organization to achieve corporate goals
  • High Aptitude to learn and adapt quickly, assimilate to new teams and projects, provide critical thinking on new tasks and work well under pressure with appropriate attention to detail
