About the Role

We’re looking for a strategic and collaborative leader to join our team as VP, Global Enterprise Risk Management. In this role, you will establish and implement a robust global framework for Enterprise Risk Management, with an immediate focus on operational, compliance and third-party risks. Responsibilities will include leading the design, implementation and oversight of a comprehensive Enterprise Risk Management framework, risk taxonomy, policies, strategy and tools to identify, assess, mitigate and monitor risks across the organization. Key success criteria will include effective collaboration with executive leadership and cross-functional leaders and teams to align risk management strategies with business objectives, ensuring resilience with sustainable growth in a rapidly evolving risk landscape.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement a global Enterprise Risk Management framework including establishment of a consistent and clear global risk taxonomy, relevant policies and governance that standardize risk identification, assessment, escalation, and mitigation/remediation while accommodating the local needs in our respective business regions.
  • Enterprise risk monitoring, management and reporting, including oversight of periodic exercises such as identification of key risks to the business, scenario planning in addition to core recurring risk reporting to senior management and Board (quarterly).
  • Embedding a strong risk management culture across business functions, effected through direct engagement with key leaders and decision makers in each function, coordinated communication and targeted training.
  • Leading the development of tools and systems to support Enterprise Risk Management, with a focus enhancing transparency to facilitate greater accountability for risk management throughout the various business functions.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align risk management strategies with business objectives.
  • Support resilience and sustainable growth by proactively identifying and addressing risks.
  • Drive scenario planning and key risk identification exercises across the enterprise.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to senior management and the Board.
  • Influence and engage stakeholders across global regions to ensure consistent risk practices.
  • Continuously evolve the Enterprise Risk Management framework as the organization matures.

Basic Qualifications

  • Extensive Risk Management experience – 10+ years in progressive Risk-related senior roles.
  • Knowledge of the industry and external environment (risk, regulatory, geopolitical, competitor, etc.).
  • Proven ability to lead teams and influence across internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation/communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management, external stakeholders, and team members.
  • Education: College/University degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) certification or similar is preferred.
  • Strategic, future-focused mindset with ability to translate vision into enterprise value.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across internal and external networks.
  • Agile leadership style with ability to adapt in dynamic environments.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with ability to manage ambiguity.

Location: Toronto office

The hiring base salary range for this position is $220 - $260K annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
