The Vice President, FP&A Modernization is responsible for leading the end-to-end modernization of major Financial Planning & Analysis capabilities within the Finance organization. This role designs and implements modern, AI-enabled forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and scenario analysis solutions to improve the speed, accuracy and strategic value of financial planning.
Operating as a hands-on leader, the Vice President combines leadership of a lean team with significant hands-on responsibility for developing advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions. The role ensures financial planning processes are integrated with enterprise data platforms and support business strategies to enable superior decision-making across the organization. The role partners closely with the EDGE (Enterprise Data Management for Growth and Efficiency) program, the Actuarial FACET team, Strategic Finance Business Partners, Investor Relations and other cross functional stakeholders.
What You Will Do:
FP&A Modernization & AI Integration
Lead FP&A process modernization, partnering with EDGE to implement AI-powered forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and scenario analysis.
Design, build, and enhance predictive analytics, machine learning models, and automation tools to improve forecast accuracy and cycle times.
Develop and work with key partners to implement a modern FP&A technology stack, including AI/ML models, automated data pipelines, and interactive dashboards integrated with enterprise platforms.
Establish and execute a phased modernization roadmap with defined milestones, KPIs, and business cases.
Represents FP&A within EDGE governance forums to ensure finance requirements inform data model design, tool selection and AI prioritization.
Partner with the FACET team to align actuarial and financial planning models and co-develop next-generation forecasting capabilities.
Reporting & Scenario Analysis
Build and enhance automated, interactive reporting solutions that enable stakeholder self-service access to financial performance data.
Design and maintain robust scenario analysis frameworks, including sensitivity analysis and what-if modeling to support leadership decision-making.
Integrate reporting and scenario outputs with enterprise data platforms and modern visualization tools.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead a lean, high-performing team while staying actively involved in solution design and implementation.
Provide coaching and technical leadership in modern FP&A methodologies, analytics, and AI-enabled planning.
Drive adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working across Finance and cross-functional stakeholders.
Communicate FP&A modernization strategy, progress, and impact to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement across the FP&A function.
What You Will Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
12+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, forecasting, or financial analytics.
7+ years of leadership experience, including team leadership and/or transformation initiatives.
Demonstrated experience personally building and implementing FP&A modernization solutions using AI/ML, automation, or advanced analytics.
Strong proficiency in analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
Experience with ERP systems, forecasting platforms, and business intelligence tools.
Proven experience leading large-scale process or systems implementation.
Demonstrated change management skills including building buy-in and connecting change to impact.
Strong knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting methodologies, and performance reporting.
Ability to communicate complex financial and analytical concepts to senior leadership, including Executive audiences.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced financial certifications.
Experience in life insurance, annuities, or reinsurance.
Familiarity with cloud-based data architectures.
Project management certification.
Working knowledge of actuarial forecasting methodologies.

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.
