Role Summary/Purpose:

Synchrony is on a transformative journey to modernize technology, improve resilience, and drive greater business value by adopting the Public Cloud.  This role is part of the Data & Analytics Technology team responsible for migrating the current data environment to Synchrony’s Public Cloud. The VP, Data & Analytics Program Delivery Lead will coordinate the data technology and user migration efforts across the organization.

Organizational Overview:

This role will be part of the Data & Analytics Technology team delivering data needs for our customers, partners, and business processes. This team focuses on the creation and storage of information throughout its lifecycle, offering best-in-class analytic platforms to enable analyst and application consumption.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate delivery across data technology and user migration efforts for the Analytics Cloud Migration program.

  • Create and maintain the integrated roadmap for Data and Analytics Cloud Migration, including the tool builds, data instantiation & decommissioning and user migrations.

  • Manage agendas and priorities for the Leadership Working Group, Senior Leader Forum, and other stakeholder sessions.

  • Oversee Data User Migration activities, including:

    • Stakeholder engagement and communication. This includes the full gamut of SVP senior leadership, managers of people and individual contributors across all Functions and Platforms.

    • Defining migration requirements with data stakeholders and users

    • Perform detailed impact assessments and planning by workgroup

    • Collaborate with Engineering and Analytics team to assess usage data to drive the prioritization of migration efforts

    • Maintaining an up-to-date user migration plan tracking progress and risks

    • Developing change management and user adoption plans

    • Identifying and coordinating training and user acceptance testing (UAT)

    • Escalating to functional leadership as necessary

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for communicating migration status, challenges, and scope changes to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Architecture teams to translate functional migration requirements into Agile epics and features.

  • Act as first line of defense addressing user questions, concerns, and issues related to data migration. Provide feedback loop to engineering teams as necessary.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 8+ years of technology experience or in lieu of degree High School diploma/GED 12+ years of technology experience

  • Strong understanding of data governance, sourcing, data quality, analytics tools, and cloud environments.

  • Proven experience managing large scale programs, defining stakeholder/user groups and driving change management.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required

Desired Characteristics:

  • Project Management and/or Agile certification (e.g., PMP, ScrumMaster) is strongly preferred.

  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies such as MS Project, JIRA, and Agile frameworks.

  • Comfortable performing light analytic work (ex: pivot tables) to assess migration scenarios

  • Proven experience managing offshore resources and motivating large, cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent Synchrony business acumen with superior decision-making capabilities.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to manage expectations across business stakeholders, clients, team members, leadership, and external partners.

  • Strong collaborator and cross-functional team player with the ability to navigate and work effectively in a matrix organization.

  • Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic professional with a customer-focused, can-do attitude and results-driven mindset.

  • Self-motivated, hands-on professional adept at prioritizing and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Ability to comprehend technical requirements and effectively coordinate resources, vendors, and testing efforts.

Grade/Level: 13

                                                                      

The salary range for this position is 130,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
