VP Cyber Network Security
About your role:
As a VP Cyber Network Security, you will direct the activities of the organization and participate in strategic decisions as related to network security and cybersecurity functions. You will lead an organization of network security engineers and implement strategic initiatives as well as build cross functional relationships between teams inside and outside the cyber organization to facilitate collaboration between teams.
You will have demonstrated success in senior IT leadership and business judgment in the management of cybersecurity services within a large, complex, and highly federated organization.
In addition you will have a solid understanding of security principles, networking, infrastructure, and data protection practices.
This role reports to the SVP of Cloud, Network, and Application Security.
What you'll do:
- Work across departments to develop strategies regarding cybersecurity and then execute on these strategies.
- Implement a formal program to enhance cybersecurity network functions globally across the company.
- Design KPI metrics and reporting to monitor compliance and effectiveness of the program.
- Develop and articulate security risk management strategies that continuously monitor and improve the security of client-facing and internally facing applications.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to create and maintain security network risk management policies and standards reflecting the company's risk appetite and industry best practices to assure robust controls.
- Exercise diligent priority evaluation and careful budgetary management, including budget preparation and the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues while providing reasoned alternatives to solve problems.
- Ensure cybersecurity, internal controls, risk management, and disaster recovery processes are properly defined, deployed, and evaluated.
Experience you'll need to have:
- 12+ years of experience in Information Security for Financial Institutions (or similar highly regulated industries), with specific experience in leading Network Security teams.
- 12+ years of experience leading organizations through change and transformation, motivating teams to deliver and create a world-class workplace experience.
- 10+ years of experience working with third-party suppliers including overseeing financials/budgets, contracts, and SLAs.
- 8+ years of experience and advanced understanding of network and cloud security (network segmentation and microsegmentation, secure ingress/engress, NDR, SASE/SSE)
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity solutions that integrate the latest technologies to prevent and detect malicious attacks.
- Support regulatory, audit, and client assurance needs by producing evidence, artifacts, and program documentation related to network security controls
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree) or equivalent work experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience in fintech/financial services domain or similar experience in large complex organizations.
- Experience in leveraging AI or similar technologies for automating processes, improving services, and reducing SLAs.
- Familiarity with deployments and integration of cybersecurity solutions within the cloud (Azure, AWS, etc.)
- General understanding of cloud computing and services, traditional hardware/software platforms, including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers and integration technologies
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent) or comparable demonstrated expertise
Important information about this role:
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.

Salary Range
$168,500.00 - $271,200.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
