Position Overview
The Compliance VP-Line of Business is the Compliance leader supporting the assigned Business lines in the day-to-day management of the overall compliance program, which includes advising on the adequacy and development of controls to oversee consumer compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, performing risk assessments and providing oversight. They will connect with the enterprise compliance functions to provide a general understanding of the specialty areas to the Business and knowledge of the Business operations to the enterprise compliance functions. They will connect across multiple teams to provide holistic support to assigned businesses.
What You’ll Do
Serve as the key resource to assigned business units and management providing a range of support and analysis on regulatory compliance requirements; Participate in business specific agile projects as a Compliance SME; Coordinate across CRA, Fair Banking, Compliance Review, Program Management, and BSA/AML to facilitate a consistent, connected and coordinated Compliance Management system.
Advise and consult on proposed new products, services, and initiatives regarding compliance obligations, corresponding compliance risks, and mitigating controls;
Identify and communicate compliance deficiencies and potential problems to management; coordinates with and provides assistance to management in developing and implementing appropriate corrective action to resolve identified problems. Tracks all issues requiring corrective action and follows up to ensure corrective action has been taken. Assists in completing Compliance Risk Assessment process
Assist the business in implementation of new and amended laws and regulations, including conducting regulatory research in response to business unit inquiries; Work with the Business to identify and track issues and emerging risks for resolution and accurate reporting;
Monitor business KPI’s, complaint volume, business procedures & policies, business reports, oversight & governance meetings, etc. to provide oversight and effective challenge to the Business; Provide guidance in the design, development and enhancement of processes and controls to manage compliance risk;
Provide subject matter expertise to the Business as they manage & remediate identified issues, including those that may generate from consumer complaints; Monitor appropriate tracking of complaints, along with effective root cause and trending analysis.
Obtain and evaluate responses to audit issues to ensure appropriate corrective action is taken, performs follow up to assure corrective action was taken, and reports results to appropriate committees.
Oversee the review of marketing materials, disclosures, and other customer communications subject to consumer protection regulations for assigned business units. Provide expertise on Compliance training content and audience selection relevant to assigned businesses;
Manage team, providing professional growth opportunities across the team, coaching, training and developing future compliance talent.
Qualifications
7-10 years of years banking and/or banking compliance
Bachelor’s degree preferred
CRCM Preferred
Experience working with Digital Channels, Treasury, Deposit Operations, Marketing

Compensation
The estimated salary range for this role is $117,000 –$158,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
