Job Description

What is the opportunity?
As a VP, Business Deposit Solutions, Corporate Coverage you will design, structure, present, negotiate and implement custom deposit solutions for Capital Markets/CCG clients. You will collaborate with a team including Transaction Bankers and Capital Markets/CCG and complete portfolio review, opportunity spotting, client discovery and proposing solutions.  In addition, you will contribute to an exceptional client experience by providing superior business and financial advice.

***Office Location requirement: Four days a week at 16 York Street and in person client meetings.*** 


 What will you do?
The role has four main focus areas:

  • Pre-contact planning, designing, structuring, presentation, negotiation and implementation of client solutions, including pricing within delegated authorities aligned to client complexity.
  • Portfolio Review for New Client Acquisition to the product line or additional product solution to existing Capital Market/CCG client; can include leads identification and proactive contact.
  • Documenting of client solutions including detailed updating within client relationship plan and pipeline (C360) for contact management and reporting.
  • Development of team capability related to Deposit and Investment opportunity spotting, client discovery and proposing solutions. For example: training programs and/or knowledge-sharing sessions for clients and colleagues to enhance their understanding of RBC’s market insights, innovative solutions, and industry expertise, thereby strengthening RBC’s position as a thought leader in the market. 

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have

  • 5 years’ experience within the product specialty field, Deposit and Investments including roles such as a Commercial Account Manager, Treasury Solutions Specialist or Transaction Banker.
  • Strong client impact, execution excellence and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and technology skills, including financial analysis demonstrating the ability to match client needs with financial solutions.
  • Excellent time management with the ability to prioritize multiple and sometimes conflicting demands.
  • Proven negotiation skills and track record of meeting or exceeding sales plans.

 
Nice-to-have

  • University degree, ideally in commerce, business administration, or related experience.
  • Commercial Financial Services, Corporate Client Group or Capital Markets experience.
