Job Description

Join Rockwell Automation as a VMI Supply Planner and play a key role in keeping our global distribution network running smoothly. In this role, you'll partner closely with distributors and internal teams to ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time—balancing service, inventory, and operational efficiency. You'll work a hybrid schedule out of our Milwaukee, WI office and report to the Manager of Distribution-Manufacturer Integration, North America.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily replenishment of Distributor stock by reviewing and releasing orders to align with service expectations.
  • Manage weekly reviews of planning parameters and customer profiles to balance inventory and service goals.
  • Analyze indicators as well as suggest and implement distributor-specific improvement activities (i.e. monitor actual performance against the targeted service levels, and provide a summary of operation results for management).
  • Create and distribute ad-hoc reports.
  • Facilitate ongoing VMI performance review meetings with Distributor management teams.
  • Monitor EDI transactions to ensure receipt and process, identify Distributor business system issues/inconsistencies that influence the quality and integrity of the data processed.
  • Develop partnerships with the Supply Chain, Channel, and Distributor teams to promote information sharing, project awareness, and the Connected Supply Chain.
  • Support projects of Rockwell Automation's S&OP Process.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce the total cost of Rockwell Automation's global supply chain by optimizing the global distribution network.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Experience in planning, inventory management, and analyzing data relating to demand trends.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple disciplines with internal and external resources.
  • Independent problem resolution and the ability to manage the requirements of others not directly supervised.
  • Proficient software and PC skills, with a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (including complex functions).
  • Experience working with operational key performance indicators and supply chain metrics.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Knowledge of statistics such as mean, median, standard deviation, correlation, and regression.
  • Availability to work in different time zones 10% of the time.
  • APICS CPIM certification.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems SAP and supply chain tools (WMS, TMS, APS).
  • Yellow belt certification.
  • Knowledge of data governance and privacy standards.
  • Experience with or understanding EDI transactions.
