Job Summary: This position is temporary and may not exceed 1039 hours (six months) in a service year.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-11/19/2025-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the number of hours worked per week, full-time or part-time. To qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in the federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Specialized experience demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized experience includes, but is not limited to the following: Preparing publications, exhibits, photographs, illustrations, drawings, and other art work, charts, diagrams, dioramas, maps, slides, and overlays for use in communicating information through visual means; using computer technology to prepare visually-oriented websites and other electronic media, to communicate information visually; directing, filming, editing, and/or producing videos for public audiences to convey intended messages; producing visual products for print and/or web pages using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere). You must include hours worked per week in your resume. -OR- EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least one full year (18 semester hours, 27 quarter hours or the equivalent) of graduate level course work with major study in commercial art, fine arts, art history, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visual communication, or other fields related to the position. You must include a copy of your transcripts. -OR- COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. To combine education and experience, first take the number of semester hours (or equivalent) and divide by 18 semester hours (or equivalent). Then take the number of months of full-time experience and divide by 12 months. Add the percentages together. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. You must include a copy of your transcripts and the hours worked per week in your resume. Volunteer experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
