Bucknell University seeks to hire a one-year visiting assistant professor of Creative Writing with a specialization in poetry and with experience in leading community-engaged, experiential learning courses for undergraduates. The course load will be 3/3 and will include both introductory and advanced poetry workshops, as well as one course each semester that gives students opportunities for experiential, community-engaged learning through links to the Stadler Center for Poetry & Literary Arts. The position will begin in August 2026.
We seek a poet with a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate creative work, student learning, diversity, and inclusive pedagogy. MFA and undergraduate teaching experience along with a strong record of poetry publication required: individual poems, collections, or book-length works in significant literary venues. A strong record of arts-related community-engaged work is also required.
