Vision Care Field Trainer Manager – Dry Eye / Glaucoma

We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Vision Care Field Trainer Manager-Dry Eye / Glaucoma supporting the Sales Training & Education Team in Panama, a typical day will include:

  • Collaborate with International teams to adapt training content and materials to meet the specific needs and cultural nuances of the LATAM GEM market.

  • Execute international training programs designed to enhance the sales and soft skills and capabilities, product knowledge training that will empower the Partner’s commercial teams across the LATAM GEM region.

  • Provide coaching and developmental support to Partner’s commercial teams, including sales representatives, account managers, and business development professionals.

  • Develop, plan, organize and execute our HCP Engagement educational programs like Bootcamps, A-SPIRE, Visionarium including future initiatives.

  • Identify training needs and gaps within the organization, developing targeted solutions to address skill deficiencies and drive performance improvement.

  • Work closely with local and regional stakeholders to ensure alignment of our Partner’s initiatives with business objectives and priorities.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for commercial leaders, providing guidance and support on training and product coaching matters.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, gathering feedback and insights to continuously improve content and delivery methods to our cluster’s distributors.

  • Utilize Alcon Learning Academy (ALA) and other technology platforms to administer, track, and report on training activities and outcomes.

  • Advocate the Educational Platform AEA to HCP’s within the region to ensure the improvement of digital education of HCPs within Gem LATAM.

  • To develop and maintain professional relationships with Eye Care Professionals, HCP advocates, and Key Accounts/Key customers to promote engagement with the Alcon brands and to provide clinical and technical information supporting the brands that influence positive prescribing behavior, recommendation & decisions.

  • Execute the education strategy and deliver content to support New Product Launches (NPL) and key strategic brands.

  • Focusing on fundamental clinical skills and product knowledge, supported by science delivered by international professional education team.

  • Deliver and implement the pre-launch education and communication strategy and key tactics for NPL readiness (such as, pre-launch communication and market preparation, HCP thought leader and advocate engagement, podium opportunities, key ECP activation and educational initiatives) for the market.

  • Direct and deliver support for congresses (Alcon owned and third party) held within the local market.

  • Develop & manage relationships with HCP Influencers and Thought Leaders within local market, major industry influencers, professors, organizations/associations, educational institutions & researchers to be at the forefront of the industry & gain leading edge knowledge of practitioner and industry insights to influence business and commercial planning.

  • Provide Clinical / Technical support to the local market marketing, sales, sales training, regulatory, legal and communications teams.

  • Through educational activities to grow MS and sales of Alcon’s Dry Eye and Pharma products in the LATAM GEM market.

  • Product scope: Dry Eye and Ocular Health Portfolio (Systane Family, Vitalux, Naphcon), Pharma Glaucoma Products (Rhopressa & Rocklatan)

  • Customer scope: Pharmacy Degree, Pharmacology Degree, Medical Doctor. Experience in Pharmaceutical Companies.

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical multinational companies.

  • Pharmacy Degree, Pharmacology Degree (BSc, MSc, PhD), Medical Doctor (MD)

  • Strong pharma-based background with extensive experience in the pharma sector within GEM LATAM.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization or outside the organization like distributors

  • Experience working in a multicultural and geographically dispersed environment, with a focus on the LATAM GEM region.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to perform effectively under pressure, manage multiple concurrent events or projects, and collaborate seamlessly within cross‑functional teams.

  • Proven ability to design and deliver high-quality clinical education (live and digital), aligned to strategy and measurable outcomes—not just presenting, but building a programmatic education engine

  • Experience identifying, onboarding, and developing HCP Advocates (and/or a faculty model) to deliver peer-to-peer education, support congress activity, and drive scientific credibility

  • Demonstrated ability to build capability in external teams—creating structured training plans and coaching for distributor field forces while maintaining message accuracy and consistency.

  • Pharmacy Degree, Pharmacology Degree (BSc, MSc, PhD), Medical Doctor (MD)

  • Pharma based background with extensive experience within the sector

  • Experience in learning and development, preferably within a commercial or sales environment is preferred.

  • Familiarity with MS Office
