The Role
The Customer Care and Aftersales (CCA) Global Labor Time department is seeking a Virtual Labor Time Study Author to become part of the team. This position will be responsible for creating virtual labor time studies using virtual, CAD data and hands-on vehicle markups.
What You’ll Do:
Work to create virtual labor time studies using currently timed steps along with virtual and CAD tools.
Working daily with TeamCenter and Excel based studies
Work with other teams such as Mechanical Service Information Team and Global Warranty Team on special projects
Single point of contact for labor time publication related issues.
Global Coordination – Work with all regions to share best practices and implement learnings/tools.
Process Development and Execution
Creating and communication metrics
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
Strong automotive technical knowledge
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Products
High Initiative
Ability to analyze data. (See trends, use for decision making)
Strong organizational skills.
High level of interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively or independently in a production-based environment with alignment to delivery schedule timing.
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Two-year associate degree in automotive field or combination of equivalent training and relevant automotive experience
Service Information or Labor Time Study Authoring experience
Experience working in an independent or dealership service department.
Hands on experience with a vehicle
Understanding of Flat-Rate and Labor Times
Data Analytic Experience
Project Management Experience
Experience communicating with global teams.
