VIE within Portfolio Performance and Operations (d/f/m)

Definition VIE
The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). Candidates meeting these criteria and interested in a VIE, please register before your 28th birthday on the website www.civiweb.com. Your tasks and responsibilities

Portfolio Analysis & Modeling 

  • Define Performance Metrics: Establish, coordinate, and disseminate key portfolio performance metrics as per executive requests and in close coordination with Finance, Portfolio and Programme / Business Unit leads.

  • Support Investment Business Case; Provide data-driven arguments and performance projections to support the development and approval of high-value investment business cases and proposals.

  • Strategic Investment Vetting: Prepare inputs together with the Portfolio Business Managers, the Sales and Marketing teams (market trends, internal capacity analysis, SWOT, financial projections) to ensure proposed investments and active programs are strategically sound and fully aligned with corporate goals.

Portfolio performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor and Forecast: Generate regular performance reports and forecasts

  • Executive Communication: Prepare clear and compelling content 

  • Portfolio Review Coordination: Coordinate with Portfolio, Programme and Finance teams to define data requirements, standardize reporting templates, and ensure the integrity of performance data presented in reviews.

Support Portfolio Governance & Continuous Improvement and Culture 

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or an Engineering field with a strong financial/business qualification and acumen.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral,

  • Excellent team skills and proven ability to succeed in a complex, virtual environment.

  • Well organized, structured, rigorous and dynamic.

  • Creative and innovative, able to develop new ideas to develop our positioning.

  • Interest in new and digital technologies and the ability to work in agile teams.

  • Fluent written and oral English and German is a must, additional languages would be a plus


On this role you will
Work in MFTs with all functions and business units of SD acquiring a helicopter vision of the business through the prism of portfolio performance
