Who You Are:
The Video Post Production Manager supports the Post Production team with added operational guidance from the Director of Creative Production and creative collaboration with the Art Direction team by managing post-production for all video and motion assets. This position will take over asset management from the Shoot team once drives or files of captured content are delivered.
The Video Post Production Manager will manage traffic and process from uploading proxies into a video review tool, sending external vendors copies of drives/content, scheduling review timing with proper stakeholders, overseeing edit, color, and retouching. This will position will also manage communication around vendor selection, estimate negotiations and approval, and briefing, specific to the post process. Overseeing cutdowns and versioning will also be part of this role. The producer will work with the Shoot team to plan budgets and track expenses, as Shoot will manage the overall production budgets with Post managing costs specific to the Post process.
You’ll Need to Have:
Build video and motion content deliverables sheet based on asset grid. Film deliverables sheet is required for vendor bidding and must be completed before kicking off asset creation.
QC files (dimensions, resolution, compression, file weight, color space)
Manage post schedule between vendor, creative and fashion office teams
Supervise all internal reviews
Manage assets retouched or edited by the in-house team
Upload final assets to the server and cloud storage accounts
Report any overages or risk of overages to Shoot Producer for approval before proceeding
Supports the team in establishing processes to streamline and drive efficiencies
Effectively collaborating with the Project Management team, ensuring that tasks are allocated and delivered according to the plan and escalate where a deviation to plan is likely
Being aware of all decisions made throughout a project lifecycle and understanding potential impact to delivery timing and raising issues/concerns where appropriate
Always work collaboratively ensuring that your communication style is consistent, clear and open
Ensure that process is flexible - positively find solutions to problems whilst assessing the impact of decisions regarding timing, costs and quality
Track music usage across final deliverables noting restrictions and end expiration dates
Utilize Airtable to track general production timing and individual asset deliverables
Maintain an active list of vendor and freelance talent that can assist as needed
Managing library and archive of motion content and updating Bynder, our asset management system
Point person for developing processes around implementation of Bynder for video asset migration
Lead for video, providing on the ground management, during high priority events such as Runway, Gala and other VIP events, as well us some occasional rush projects
We'd Love to See:
BA or BFA, major/minor in business, marketing, and/or graphic design
At least 6+ years of experience in project management and video production within a creative professional environment.
Management experience overseeing external vendors.
Candidates must have basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs and Microsoft Office.
Must be extremely detail oriented in developing production breakdowns and schedules.
Strong interest in fashion and the Michael Kors brand.
Excellent communication skills and an ability work well with others.
Flexibility and desire to quickly adapt to new methods, situations, and varied requirements.
Working knowledge of project planning and tracking software and other project management methodology tools.
