What's The Role
This role will lead strategies and programs that drive effective and engaging social-first video content across platforms. The focus will be on maximizing audience growth and engagement through best practices in video storytelling, optimization, repurposing, and channel management. The advisor will act as the subject matter expert for video audience development, ensuring Shell’s video presence is impactful and aligned with evolving platform and audience trends.
What You'll Be Doing
Develop and implement strategies to grow Shell’s video audience across YouTube and other social platforms.
Oversee Shell’s YouTube channel’s governance and publication operations
Lead programs that drive the creation of effective and engaging social-first videos, advising content owners on effective storytelling and formats that maximize audience engagement.
Provide guidance on discoverability and retention, including strategies to improve search and recommendations visibility, click through, and view durations.
Collaborate with social marketing managers and content owners to optimize video distribution across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
Analyze video performance metrics and provide actionable insights to improve engagement and audience growth.
Enhance content production ROI by developing guidelines and best practices best practices for video content repurposing across different platforms.
Explore and evaluate emerging platforms and technologies to enhance Shell’s video amplification efforts.
Foster relationships with platform representatives and leverage joint initiatives for maximum reach.
What You Bring
Proven experience managing YouTube or other video channels.
Strong understanding of social-first video trends and audience engagement strategies across segments and platforms.
Proficiency in video analytics and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Knowledge of SEO best practices for video content.
Excellent stakeholder management, collaboration, and communication skills.
