POSITION TITLE: Victim Witness Coordinator

LOCATION: Ada, Oklahoma

STATUS: Full-Time/Immediate Opening

CLOSING: December 5, 2025

SALARY: Salary based upon Experience and Qualifications

JOB DESCRIPTION: District Twenty-Two is seeking a motivated and compassionate Victim Witness Coordinator to provide support and advocacy for victims and witnesses throughout the criminal justice process.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Provide trauma-informed assistance, guidance, and advocacy to victims and witnesses involved in criminal cases.
  • Explain court procedures, case status, and victim’s rights in compliance with applicable laws.
  • Attend court hearings with victims or witnesses as needed.
  • Coordinate with prosecutors, law enforcement, social service agencies, and community partners to ensure comprehensive support services.
  • Maintain confidential case files, documentation, and timely communication with victims.
  • Serve as the primary contact for media, community organizations, and the public regarding agency-related information.
  • Prepare and distribute press releases, public statements, and informational materials.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system and trauma-informed practices is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations under stressful or emotional circumstances.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED equivalent
