Job Description:

Role Overview

The Vice President/Director will be a senior individual contributor within TD Securities Global Markets, responsible for delivering market expertise, client coverage, and risk-aware execution across US Mortgage‑Backed Securities (MBS), Collateralized Mortgage Obligations (CMOs), and Rates products. The role requires deep product knowledge, strong market judgment, and the ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced trading and client environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide subject‑matter expertise in US agency and non‑agency MBS, CMOs, and Rates, supporting trading, structuring, and/or client solutions activities.
  • Execute and manage complex transactions while adhering to TD Securities’ risk, conduct, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Partner closely with trading, sales, structuring, and risk teams to deliver integrated market solutions.
  • Monitor macroeconomic, rates, and mortgage market developments and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Support client engagement by delivering market commentary, trade ideas, and product insights.
  • Contribute to business growth initiatives, including product development, balance sheet optimization, and market expansion where applicable.
  • Act as a senior resource within the team, providing guidance to junior colleagues and contributing to overall desk performance.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5–12+ years of relevant experience within a financial institution or dealer environment.
  • Demonstrated experience across US Mortgage‑Backed Securities (MBS), CMOs, and Rates products.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage structures, cash‑flow modeling, prepayment risk, and interest rate dynamics.
  • Proven ability to manage risk, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions in volatile market conditions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage credibly with internal stakeholders and clients.
