Overview
We are seeking a US & Latam National Leader, for Program Management, a Senior Director level, who will be responsible for growth and delivery of program management services for the US Business while maintaining outstanding culture and employee engagement. This role combines external market and client leadership with internal practice stewardship—cross market collaboration, resource management, building capabilities, ensuring excellence in project delivery, and achieving strong financial performance while championing growth and innovation. As a national leader, you will be a key member of our Senior Leadership Team who together help drive growth and business decisions across the company.

We do this by partnering with clients, to engineer a better planet through reliable, quality infrastructure programs managed by innovative and competent professionals. Your role
Multi Market Growth and Leadership
- Work closely with Market Directors to support the development and deployment of market-leading strategies for maximum expansion and growth across priority geographies and sectors.
- Build on your existing industry relationships to develop new relationships with elected officials and staff executives with authority over capital programming, design, and construction.
- Ongoing market and client support and assessment to identify trends, opportunities and the competitive landscape.
- Proactive identification and development of solutions and innovation methodologies to bring to markets particularly working with the Technology and Innovation team.
- Build strong market awareness and brand visibility through client and industry interactions, professional organization involvement and thought leadership.
- Participate in high-profile, national business development events to gain sight to emerging large programs of more than $1 billion
- Work with our business units to sell new Program Management services to existing clients and to gain entry to new clients.
- Expand use of market-forecasting tools to monitor bond programs in core geographies and better position for new programs.
- Identify and support the acquisition and/or integration of related Multi-Market acquisition targets. Deliver value from any acquisitions in line with our agreed business case.
Resource Strategy & Capability Building
- Own resourcing strategy to support delivery of the US long-range plan including attract, retain, and deploy graduate through senior technical talent.
- Be responsible for matching supply and demand for resource management
- Oversee performance management, succession planning, training, and career paths; maintain robust skill and credential repositories; engage Fellows for on-the-job development.
- Balance in-country teams with Global Technical Center (GTC), and global resources; develop centers of excellence and drive efficiency, quality, and innovation.
- Create Program Management Training curriculum that teaches technical and personal skills of program managers
- Network and recruit individuals willing to travel, relocate, and work regularly on site at client
Project Delivery & Quality
- Collaborate with the Market leaders on workplans, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation; enforce QA/QC, safety, and adherence to AtkinsRéalis procedures and policies.
- Advise on complex technical issues with regional/global SMEs; drive lessons learned and continuous improvement.
- Drive technology and innovation across each market ensuring solutions in one market are assessed and deployed in all.
- Continue work with the program management team to establish and strengthen an internal “center of excellence” that leverages existing ATRL best practices and digital innovation in Global Program Management
Client & KAM (Key Account Management) Leadership
- Lead practice specific and cross market strategic pursuits and positioning in coordination with Business Units (BUs) and Sales/BD&S
- Serve as executive sponsor and brand ambassador with clients as identified, and in coordination with our KAM program; partner closely with KAMs to build C-suite relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Set and meet ambitious financial targets managing the Practice as a Virtual P&L; monitor portfolio health, utilization, profitability and revenue.
- Support commercial strategy—scopes, fees and operating budgets; review productivity forecasts and recommend actions.
Governance & Other
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; perform other duties as required to meet practice and business objectives.
About you
- Able to oversee large, complex programs collectively: $5B+ of annual client Capital Expenditure (CapEx) or $20M+ annual net revenue for company
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, science, construction, engineering, or related field; post‑graduate degree and/or MBA preferred. In lieu of degree, 20+ years relevant experience are considered.
- 20+ years professional experience with at least 10 years leading and directing highly complex projects/programs as the program manager and/or senior advisor
- Professional registration in field of practice required where applicable (e.g., P.E., P.G., PLS, R.A., RLA).
- Certification as PMP or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) desired within one year of hire.
- PgMP certification is desirable.
- Broad knowledge of AEC markets; established relationships with public agencies, private sector clients, and the consulting community.
- Proven executive presence and client leadership; excellent communication, collaboration, and team‑building skills.
- Analytical and strategic thinker with strong tactical execution; initiative‑taker who thrives in a highly collaborative environment.
- Experience with commercial management, pricing, business planning, and delivery excellence (QA/QC, safety).
- Ability to travel frequently; remote within the US with access to AtkinsRéalis offices as needed.

Additional information
Expected compensation range is between $300,000 - $350,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
