Role Overview
We are seeking a Vice President to join our Global Payments Solutions (GPS) Financial Institutions Sales team in Singapore. This role is primarily responsible for coverage of bank clients in Singapore and Vietnam, supported by selective coverage of non‑bank financial institutions (NBFIs). The ideal candidate will have strong FI relationship‑management capabilities, deep GPS product expertise across cash management, liquidity solutions, and FX, and proven experience structuring and delivering integrated transaction banking solutions.
Familiarity with Vietnamese banks, including regulatory knowledge and local payment infrastructure, is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Coverage: Banks in Singapore & Vietnam
Serve as the main relationship lead for bank clients operating in Singapore and Vietnam including headquartered as well as Singapore branches of other foreign banks.
Develop senior‑level engagement across treasury, operations, risk, and payments teams within client banks.
Map client business models, cash flows, cross‑border corridors, and regulatory considerations to drive relevant solutioning.
Identify opportunities arising from industry developments, digital transformation, and treasury modernization in both markets.
Secondary Coverage: Select NBFI Clients
Support coverage of targeted NBFIs—including insurers —where aligned with franchise strategy.
Position GPS capabilities to address liquidity, funding, payment flow, and FX needs specific to NBFIs.
Sales & Revenue Responsibilities
Drive responsible revenue growth across the GPS product set: cash management, liquidity, FX payments, correspondent banking, and trade‑linked solutions.
Develop and present tailored proposals, RFP responses, and solution recommendations for banks and NBFIs across both markets.
Lead pricing and commercial discussions while maintaining discipline in risk, compliance, and regulatory standards.
Product Expertise & Solution Structuring
Apply deep understanding of GPS products to design integrated solutions that meet the operational and strategic needs of FI clients.
Partner with product, risk, compliance, legal, and operations teams to ensure solutions meet client requirements and regulatory expectations.
Support digital adoption—real‑time payments, online treasury platforms, and digital onboarding enhancements.
Market Focus: Vietnam
Build strong relationships with Vietnamese banks, understanding local payment ecosystems, correspondent banking frameworks, and cash management practices.
Monitor Vietnam’s regulatory developments and advise clients on implications for their cross‑border payment flows and liquidity structures.
Identify opportunities arising from modernization of Vietnam’s financial infrastructure and FI sector growth.
Internal Collaboration & Leadership
Act as a senior member of the FI Sales team, contributing to account planning discipline, best practices, and overall team development.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior teammates involved in analytics, proposals, and deal execution.
Work closely with Global Banking, GPS Product, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and regional partners to deliver seamless client outcomes.
Required Skills & Experience
8–12+ years of experience in FI coverage, cash management, liquidity, FX, or transaction banking within a leading regional or international bank.
Proven track record covering banks in Singapore and/or Vietnam; familiarity with Vietnamese regulatory and payments infrastructure is an advantage.
Exposure to NBFIs such as insurers, broker‑dealers, asset managers, and PayTech firms
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to structure and execute integrated transaction banking solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Vietnamese language proficiency is a plus.
Strong partnership mindset with the ability to collaborate across global teams while executing independently as a senior individual contributor.
Demonstrated commitment to responsible risk management, governance, and client‑focused execution.
