Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Strategic Planning function for SFD
  • Partnering with RMs to advise clients in particular with the JC RMs and collaboration with GC RMs
  • Work developing and implementing our GX Strategy for APAC and Tokyo Office
  • Create pitchbooks based on latest developments in the Sustainable Finance space
  • Ensure up-to-date and clear tracking of clients, pipelines and deals for the countries under your coverage
  • Create pitchbooks based on latest developments in the Sustainable Finance space
  • Ensure up-to-date and clear tracking of clients, pipelines and deals for the countries under your coverage
  • Manage the risk profile of the team by ensuring all new products are in compliance to local regulators requirements before the product launch
  • Play an active role in setting up relevant disciplines to ensure effective product management
  • Maintenance of product manuals to maintain a strong framework in the team and assist with risk profiles
  • Take ownership and accountability for sustainable finance reporting
  • Lead regional ESG data digitization for enhanced governance and information availability
  • Adhere to all company policies and guidelines and take relevant proactive actions.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum JLPT N1 certification or equivalent proficiency in Japanese is required to effectively communicate with Japanese-speaking stakeholders, including senior management in Tokyo Head Office and across APAC, for ESG and planning matters.
  • Minimum 10years of relevant banking experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in ESG financing within a commercial banking environment or ESG Rating agency
  • Demonstrated in depth knowledge of Green & Sustainable loan principles, Green Bond Principles, UN Sustainable Development Goals, Climate Bonds Initiative, TCFD, and other major ESG Regulations
  • Solutions focused with proven business judgement and high ethical and professional standards
  • Demonstrated teamwork and guides others with vast experience and knowledge of the market.
