The Regional APAC Lead for Trade Floor Support is responsible for delivering end-to-end technology support for traders and trading support staff across Asia. This includes oversight of end-user endpoints (desktops, VDIs, turrets, telephony), trading applications, and market data platforms such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and LSEG. The role ensures the stability and resilience of Treasury and Markets technology environments by driving governance, process standardization, and operational consistency across APAC. The incumbent serves as the senior escalation point for trade-floor incidents and system issues, manages vendor coordination, oversees change and release activities, and leads continuous improvement initiatives. The role combines deep technical expertise with strong operational discipline to ensure high-quality service delivery to front-office users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and develop an APAC-wide Trade Floor Support capability, establishing a collaborative culture, ensuring coverage, and aligning team skills with Global Markets support needs.

  • Define and enforce regional trade-floor support standards, operating procedures, ITIL-aligned processes, and compliance frameworks. MUFG Bank, Ltd

  • Oversee production support for trading systems, market data platforms (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, EBS, IPC), and endpoint environments (Windows/Linux OS, hardware, patching, VDI, endpoint security).

  • Act as the senior escalation point for critical incidents impacting trading or market connectivity, lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Lead ITIL change and release management activities to ensure controlled deployment of updates, patches, and enhancements.

  • Drive continuous improvement, operational automation, SOP documentation, and technical enablement across regional teams.

  • Partner closely with front-office traders, trading assistants, Global Markets IT, market data teams, and vendors to ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Support data flow, integrations, and connectivity across Treasury systems and downstream platforms; troubleshoot STP and reconciliation issues.

  • Ensure audit readiness, adherence to security standards, and compliance with regulatory expectations.

  • Work with Technology Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and global support teams to adopt best practices and enhance service consistency across markets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in Treasury/Markets technology support and desktop/trading-floor support, including 2+ years in trade-floor leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of FX, Money Market, Rates, and Liquidity products, with hands-on support experience for market data platforms.

  • Proven experience managing trading floor desktop environments, including operating systems, hardware lifecycle, patching, compliance, and turrets/telephony.

  • Strong experience with Virtual Desktop platforms, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Power BI.

  • Technical skills in Windows/Linux, scripting (Python, Shell), SQL databases (Oracle/SQL Server), integration protocols, and log analysis tools.

  • Knowledge of ITIL processes, DR/BCP, cybersecurity requirements, and operational risk controls.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, strong communication, and ability to lead escalations under pressure.

  • Preferred: Exposure to AWS/Azure cloud, reporting and reconciliation tools, and low-latency trading connectivity optimization.
