TITLE: Vice President, Professional Services

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Vice President, Professional Services, is a key leader within the Professional Services practice and is responsible for leading a group of teams to deliver project(s) for customers.  The VP will have responsibility that may be based on geography, product, or capability. The VP will be an expert within the Practice, serving as the key Professional Services leadership resource for customer executives. The VP will work across multiple complex projects simultaneously.  The VP will have internal responsibilities to further the Professional Services agenda.

  • Provides leadership and direction to direct reports and their subordinates within the Professional Services practice and builds and leads a culture of accountability to meet business objectives and goals
    • Oversees the overall people management with responsibilities including, but not limited to, staffing, the management of direct reports, and subordinate team members, setting performance objectives, conducting annual performance reviews, and recommends pay actions
    • Develops staff members through coaching that retains top talent
  • Collaborate with Sales Directors and Solution Architects to propose and sell Professional Services to new Duck Creek customers
  • Generate additional Professional Services revenue at existing customers
  • Build and maintain customer relationships
  • Meet regularly with customer executives, customer project leaders, and Duck Creek partners with a focus on driving successful outcomes for the customer and Duck Creek
  • Monitor project progress for on-time, on-budget delivery of projects across assigned portfolio of accounts
  • Work collaboratively with Engagement Leads at assigned accounts to monitor project progress for on-time and on-budget delivery of projects
  • Partner and collaborate across the Duck Creek organization to address cross-functional issues
  • Develops and contributes to the overall Professional Services’ Strategy and Vision
  • Contributes intellectual property to the Professional Services practice
  • Create an environment that rewards the behaviors that best serve customers

Performs other related duties and activities as required

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience
  • At least 8-10 years working in leadership within a Professional Service environment is highly preferred

A working knowledge of P&C Insurance and SaaS implementations is preferred

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

  • Experience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget
  • Experience leading a portfolio of work >= $25M USD annually
  • Experience leading, motivating and managing various project team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance
  • Superior leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Entrepreneurial orientation with a bias for action
  • Strategically minded, with ability to identify areas for business improvement and growth
  • Proven track record of consistently delivering high-impact results to meet customers’ needs
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple customers simultaneously
  • Strong experience in customer expectations management and scope management
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff
  • Demonstrated experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Work Environment & Other Requirements:

  • Travel: 50%
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the country of the job location
