Implement new or updated programs or portions of large-scale initiatives. Project impact costs, quality, efficiencies, and achievement of objectives across departments, often with enterprise-wide impacts.
Apply advanced technical knowledge and leadership abilities to solve complex problems which may impact service lines or corporate serve or regional entity.
Manage the development and monitoring of quality and continuous improvement, and departmental operations, including human resources, budget and finance, short- and long-range planning, legal and regulatory compliance.
Lead areas of responsibility in improving measurable outcomes, including patient satisfaction, quality indicators, financial and productivity targets, and in meeting or exceeding regulatory, compliance and accreditation standards.
Collaborate with leaders and senior leadership to improve efficiencies in the delivery of consistent patient services and resources. Plan and implement opportunities for improvement within each department, and coordinate opportunities for improvement among the departments.
Collaborate with other network, medical center, and enterprise leaders, and share financial and regulatory responsibility and accountability for the efficient provision of services.
Assure existence of appropriate philosophy, goals, and objectives for assigned areas, and that they remain consistent with the overall mission, values, and strategic plans for service lines in the market, and the enterprise.
Facilitate the growth and development of staff, and serve as a role model, leader, resource, and mentor. Must demonstrate measurable success in managing complex departments, functions, and services in a competitive environment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Minimum Required: Bachelor of Science (BSN), Bachelor of Business Administration (BA), or bachelor’s degree in Health Administration required.
Masters preferred.
Experience
Minimum required: ten years of professional experience in a health care or business related field and at least five years of progressive management experience at a department director level or above preferred.
License/Certification
Must maintain any certification or licensure in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required. Membership in a professional healthcare management organization, such as American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) preferred.
