Position Summary

McKesson is seeking a Vice President, Multispecialty National Accounts to lead strategy, execution, and growth across McKesson’s largest multispecialty provider relationships. This role provides executive leadership for national multispecialty accounts, including integrated delivery networks, large physician groups, and enterprise provider organizations. This Vice President operates in a highly matrixed environment, leading a national field-based account team and partnering cross‑functionally to deliver enterprise solutions that drive customer value, revenue growth, and long‑term strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the executive national lead for multispecialty national accounts.

  • Develop and execute national account strategies focused on growth, retention, and customer satisfaction.

  • Establish and manage operational goals, performance metrics, budgets, and accountability standards.

  • Own national account budgetary and/or P&L responsibilities, including forecasting and financial analysis.

  • Identify and execute enterprise growth opportunities across McKesson’s portfolio of services and solutions.

  • Analyze external healthcare market trends, reimbursement dynamics, and provider consolidation impacts.

  • Operate effectively within a matrixed organization, influencing outcomes across multiple internal teams.

  • Represent McKesson with C‑suite and senior executive customers and at industry events.

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing national account leadership team.

  • Drive consistent execution of strategic account planning and engagement models.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance excellence.

  • Build strong internal partnerships across sales, operations, contracting, finance, and strategy.

  • Act as an executive sponsor and trusted advisor to key customers.

Education & Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Healthcare Admin, or related field (or equivalent experience). Advance Degree preferred.

  • Typically requires 13+ years of professional experience and 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience).

Critical Skills

  • 6+ years of senior leadership experience in healthcare, sales, or national account management.

  • Experience leading national or enterprise‑level healthcare accounts.

  • Proven success driving revenue growth and complex customer relationships.

  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L‑impacting initiatives and business case development.

  • Experience with healthcare distribution, services, technology, and/or GPO environments.

  • Deep understanding of multispecialty provider economics and care delivery models.

  • Executive presence with the ability to engage confidently with senior customer leadership.

  • Highly collaborative leader who is comfortable operating in a matrixed environment.

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities.

  • Ability to manage complexity and perform effectively under pressure.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and executive presentation tools.

Working Environment

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Ability to travel extensively to customer sites and company meetings (up to 65% overnight travel).

  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record/MVR.

  • Remote/home office environment.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.  In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered. Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:

$245,400 - $409,000

Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
