Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our organization as the Vice President of IT Service Financials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with a minimum of 7 years of financial experience and at least 3 years of Technology Business Management (TBM) experience. This role is crucial for ensuring effective billing processes, financial reporting, and benchmarking of IT performance.
Essential Responsibilities:
- (25 %) Financial Expertise:
- Demonstrate a minimum of 8 years of financial experience, showcasing a strong understanding of financial management principles and practices
- Utilize TBM principles and guidelines, showcasing familiarity with TBM best practices.
- Produces board- and C-suite-ready reporting that translates highly complex IT spend, consumption, and value data into clear insights that inform investment decisions, operating model changes, and strategic prioritization.
- Utilize budgeting and forecasting skills to develop accurate and realistic financial plans for IT services.
- Owns end-to-end technology financial management, including full mapping and normalization of all IT contracts, run-vs-change spend, cost transparency, and multi-year financial planning—bridging CFO-level finance rigor with CIO-level technology execution through standardized TBM frameworks, transparent cost allocation models, and actionable financial insights that directly inform investment decisions and operational outcomes.
- (15 %) Technology Business Management (TBM) Expertise:
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of TBM experience, with a deep understanding of TBM principles and methodologies.
- Leverage TBM frameworks to optimize IT spending and enhance cost transparency.
- Serves as the functional and technical owner of Apptio (Cost Transparency, ITFM, Showback/Chargeback), responsible for complex configuration, data modeling, allocation logic, integrations, and ongoing optimization to support executive-grade decision making.
- (15 %) Configuration Expertise:
- Configure and maintain service consumption/metering feeds to ensure accurate tracking and billing of IT services.
- Collaborate with IT teams to set up and optimize configuration for efficient service billing.
- (15 %) Benchmarking:
- Establish and lead benchmarking initiatives to compare IT performance against internal benchmarks and industry peers.
- Leads deep analysis of vendor contracts, unit cost benchmarking, and commercial optimization across infrastructure, applications, cloud, and services—driving measurable cost efficiency, value realization, and negotiation leverage.
- Identify opportunities for improvement based on benchmarking results.
- (15 %) Bill of IT Creation:
- Develop and maintain the Bill of IT, outlining all IT services and associated costs.
- Implement strategies to optimize cost structures and improve overall efficiency.
- (15 %) People Management:
- Acts as a strategic partner to Finance, Procurement, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud, Infrastructure, and Application leaders—aligning financial accountability with technology delivery and operating as a trusted advisor to senior executives.
- Demonstrate strong people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Required Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
- Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of direct experience with at least 1 year of experience in a leadership role. Must have Information technology and/or financial Institution experience.

- Proven experience in configuring and maintaining service consumption/metering feeds.
- Strong budgeting and forecasting skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Demonstrated experience in providing financial insights to executive leadership.

- Familiarity with emerging trends and best practices in Technology Business Management (TBM).
- In-depth knowledge of financial modeling and analysis.
- Workday Financial experience.
- Advanced understanding of IT service consumption/metering feeds and configuration.
- Knowledge of industry benchmarks and standards related to IT financial performance.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for executive decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to diverse audiences.
- Experience in implementing financial systems and technologies for IT service billing.
