Position Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Enterprise Applications to lead the planning, implementation, and ongoing support of enterprise systems that enable operational excellence across our distribution network. This role is responsible for ensuring the alignment of enterprise application strategy with business goals, managing the lifecycle of ERP’s and related systems, and leading a team of application professionals to drive digital transformation and efficiency. This role will oversee the core ERP of our existing business but long-term will have involvement in a multi-ERP environment as our business expands into new verticals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the enterprise applications strategy in alignment with the company's business objectives and IT roadmap building out a multi-ERP environment.
- Partner and build relationships with executive leadership, operations, finance, and supply chain to identify and deliver technology solutions that support growth and scalability.
- Participate in the Technology Leadership team as well as the organization’s technology funding executive review committee, setting departmental vision, strategy, and tactics.
- AI first strategy to support automation and transformation within the Enterprise Application organization.
- Oversee the selection, implementation, integration, and support of enterprise systems, including ERP (e.g., DMSI Agility, Infor Cloud Suite, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), CRM, EDI, and other critical business applications.
- Lead the product lifecycle and feature planning for all Enterprise Applications
- Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of business analysts, product owners, support teams, and project managers.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Lead cross-functional projects to implement new systems or optimize existing applications, ensuring timelines, budgets, and business requirements are met.
- Establish governance and best practices for change management, testing, and deployment processes.
- Manage relationships with software vendors, implementation partners, and service providers. Including contact negotiations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between IT and business units for enterprise application needs.
- Contribute to the development of the information technology annual operating and capital budgets, and strategic technology investment fund. Manage the ongoing expenditures against budget. Assess and communicate opportunities and risks associated with technology investments.
- Ensure systems comply with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., SOX, data privacy).
- Mitigate risks associated with system outages, data breaches, and business continuity.
- Participate in technology policies, processes, and cybersecurity measures to ensure effective and consistent operations and to safeguard assets and information.

- Entire Enterprise Applications Team (Projects, Admin and Support)
Travel Requirements:
- Travel for conferences, meetings and branch visits possible
- Up to 30%

Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior role overseeing enterprise applications in a distribution, logistics, or supply chain-intensive environment.
- Proven experience managing large-scale ERP implementations or upgrades.
- Proven experience managing a multi-ERP environment
- Deep understanding of distribution operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, procurement, and logistics.
- Strong project management skills and familiarity with Agile or hybrid methodologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems such as DMSI Agility, Infor Cloud Suite, Oracle, SAP, Infor, or NetSuite in a distribution or wholesale environment.
- Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and EDI integrations.
- Familiarity with cloud-based application ecosystems and data integration platforms

- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
