Your New Role

The VP, International Government Affairs & Public Policy will serve as a senior leader within the Government Affairs team, responsible for driving UK-based government affairs while overseeing international direct reports across EMEA (excluding the UK), APAC and LATAM. 

Reporting to the Head of Government Affairs, this role plays a critical part in shaping Warner Bros.’ global public policy and advocacy strategy outside the United States. The VP will develop and execute comprehensive initiatives to mitigate regulatory risk, influence policy outcomes and advance the company’s business priorities and reputation. You will collaborate closely with legal, communications and business unit partners, manage external consultants in the UK and guide international external support alongside a lean global team. 

This position offers a strategic opportunity to step into global policy leadership within a highly visible, fast-moving environment with broad international impact. 

Your Role Accountabilities

Policy & Regulatory Strategy: 

  • Develop and implement government affairs strategies aligned with Warner Bros.’ business objectives across the UK and international markets. 

Political Intelligence & Risk Mitigation: 

  • Monitor and analyze political, regulatory, and policy developments in the UK and manage direct reports doing the same in EMEA (minus UK), APAC, and LATAM, and ensuring all efforts are fully coordinated. Provide strategic insights and briefings to senior leadership.

Advocacy & Campaigns: 

  • Lead proactive advocacy campaigns and responses to adverse trends, regulatory challenges, and political developments. Shape public policy narratives that support business growth and innovation. 

Stakeholder Engagement: 

  • Build and maintain high-level relationships with UK government officials, policymakers, regulators, and influential third parties. Facilitate leadership engagement with key stakeholders across regions. 

Public-Private Partnerships & Reputation Building: 

  • Identify and leverage opportunities to highlight Warner Bros.’ investments, achievements, and initiatives through strategic partnerships and external endorsements. 

Team & Consultant Management: 

  • Manage a small team and oversee external consultants in the UK, supporting related oversight in EMEA (minus UK), APAC and LATAM. Lead onboarding and oversight of new consultants as needed. Ensure alignment with senior leadership-approved budgets. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Partner with Legal, Communications, Finance, and Business Units to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated policy positions across jurisdictions. 

Executive Communications: 

  • Lead the development of talking points, briefing materials, and strategic communications for executive outreach and public engagement. 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive experience in government relations, public policy, legal, consulting, or strategic roles within media, entertainment or sports sectors. 

  • Deep understanding of international political and regulatory environments, especially UK legislative processes and global media policy issues. 

  • Proven ability to lead cross-regional teams and manage external consultant

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
