The VP – Insurance oversees the company’s insurance operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. This role manages teams dedicated to the procurement, administration, and review of insurance policies that protect the company’s assets and minimize risk exposure. This role will ensure all processes are integrated smoothly and develop processes to ensure data accuracy, compliance and completeness. This role will coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and collaborate with other functional areas to drive a best-in-class client experience.

· Oversee the processes, procedures, documentation, and controls within the insurance function.
· Assess borrower’s insurance coverage for compliance and calculate monthly impounds.
· Maintain up-to-date master investor requirements records.
· Interpret legal documents to ensure accurate data input into servicing systems, identify trigger events, and fulfill investor deliverables.
· Assist Client Relations Managers with insurance analysis for loan events such as assumptions, modifications, and collateral releases, including preparing required insurance forms.
· Identify, coach, and develop future managers, fostering leadership growth within the organization.
· Maintain an approachable and professional demeanor to facilitate positive team dynamics.
· Share expertise in commercial real estate concepts with team members and clients.
· Serve as the relationship manager for assigned clients, lenders, and investors.
· Manage and develop direct reports and team members in both the US and Hyderabad.
· Drive employee development by setting goals and facilitating Learning and Development opportunities.
· Handle escalated and complex issues, providing effective resolutions.
· Ensure team members meet all servicing and reporting requirements.
· Work with Servicing team members to resolve ongoing issues and problems.
· Consult with necessary personnel within Berkadia and follow up to ensure completion of requests and inquiries.
· Address problem situations by assessing loan documents and investor guidelines.
· Develop and ensure compliance with Policies and Procedures.
· Execute special projects and assignments as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.

· Advanced knowledge of insurance policies, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
· Experience in the mortgage or financial services industry.
· Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to manage support staff in the US and India.
· Proven ability to identify and resolve complex issues, demonstrating excellent research, analytical, and negotiating skills.
· Effective time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure, adhere to strict deadlines, and handle a high volume of work.
