This position provides the opportunity to work on exciting neuroscience communications programs for a leading healthcare brand, develop key relationships with healthcare industry clients, and manage outreach to the media, third-party organizations, healthcare professionals and consumers. Influencer and social campaigns, product launches, medical congresses, patient storytelling, awareness days and disease education programs are a few of the exciting projects you will support alongside an integrated team of subject matter experts and specialists.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the day-to-day activities for the health and life science practice’s account teams, including developing strong client relationships, working with senior team members to help oversee projects, and providing client counsel. 
  • Support in the development and implementation of strategic plans and communications campaigns across key stakeholders that align with client business objectives and deliver results. 
  • Develop high-quality written materials, including comprehensive communications plans, press materials, social copy, client correspondence, and media monitoring reports. 
  • Facilitate teamwork within account team; coordinate team resources and create opportunities for junior staff to take on more responsibility; fully utilize agency resources to create the "best teams" for your clients. 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience. Biotech, pharmaceutical or healthcare communications experience within a communications agency or equivalent is required. 
  • Strong client relationship and project management skills and the ability to provide strategic counsel, build and lead account teams, mentor junior-level staff, and execute work that achieves business objectives. 
  • Deep understanding of the regulatory process, and the ability to communicate clinical data into lay language that resonates across target stakeholders. 
  • Knowledge of health and life science media landscape; understanding of the role earned, owned, digital, and social media play in integrated communications strategies.   
  • Execute strategic outreach plans to external audiences via social platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Meta, etc.), media partners, third-party organizations, healthcare professionals, media, etc. 
  • Excellent writing and copy-editing skills, including the ability to develop press materials and communications plans. 
  • Direct responsibility for strategic thinking; anticipating issues, trends, and connections, and translating those insights into actionable ideas for the client and our healthcare team.  
  • Knowledge of project management and regulatory approval processes; can provide guidance to teams regarding tools such as Veeva, Asana, Khoros, etc.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $77,000 - $175,000 per year.

 

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off and/or other benefits also are available.
