Job Description :

News Corp is seeking a Vice President, Global Strategy to help drive the development, execution, and growth of our global advertising and platform partnerships. This role plays a critical part in operationalizing our global monetization strategy, supporting cross-market commercial initiatives, and building the insights, materials, and partnerships that enable News Corp’s businesses to unlock new revenue opportunities.

Working across a wide range of stakeholders—including News UK, News Australia, Dow Jones, The New York Post, Realtor.com and HarperCollins—the VP will contribute to the Corporate Strategy Team’s mandate: expanding platform relationships, accelerating innovation, fostering cross-business synergies, and strengthening our global strategic advertising partnerships.

This is a high-visibility role for a commercially minded strategist who can blend analytical rigor, relationship management, cross-functional orchestration and compelling storytelling to help deliver on News Corp’s global revenue ambitions.

Primary Responsibilities

International Commercial Strategy & Sales Enablement

  • Identify and size new multi-market advertising opportunities; lead and support the sales process, from opportunity assessment to pitch development and partnership execution.

  • Map global client and agency relationships, unlocking new access points and identifying underserved client groups.

  • Carefully avoid sales channel conflict, tailoring detailed engagement plans for strategic clients to ensure a cohesive coverage plan for key customers.

  • Maintain and grow relationships with central agency leaders, digital and data teams, and global client organizations to complement and amplify BU sales activity.

  • Maintain a multi-market sales pipeline and convert opportunities into structured commercial delivery plans.

  • Lead the Global Solutions Team, ensuring cross-BU coordination and expanding global advertiser relationships.

  • Develop high-impact materials—including global strategy narratives, multi-market sales collateral and client-ready proposals—that articulate News Corp’s unique value across businesses and geographies.

  • Identify opportunities to reach new client groups, organizing customer events and coordinating presence at major industry events, such as Cannes Lions.

  • Provide commercial and analytical support for major advertiser partnerships, including ongoing relationship management and performance reporting.

Advertising Product Monetization

  • Support the development of scalable advertising product strategies, incorporating market trends, partner feedback and BU requirements.

  • Translate the global Advertising Technology vision into actionable workstreams and materials that support BU adoption, monetization growth and consistency.

  • Partner with Product, Technology and Data teams to progress global monetization initiatives (Apps, Video, CTV, contextual and first-party data capabilities).

  • Evaluate market trends, competitive shifts and emerging technologies; provide insights that inform product strategy and global tech partnerships.

Platform Partnerships & Industry Development

  • Support the Platform Partnerships team on the advertising implementation of platform relationships, ensuring they drive sustainable revenue growth.

  • Provide thought leadership as part of global councils, innovation forums and cross-business working groups, presenting perspectives on emerging formats (e.g., AR, video, audio) and platform trends.

Insight, Research & Strategic Analysis

  • Conduct market, customer and competitive analyses to inform monetization strategy and partnership decisions.

  • Produce white papers, executive briefings, landscape reviews and Board-level presentations on new opportunities, industry developments and key partnerships.

  • Serve as an internal consultant to operating divisions, applying structured analytical frameworks to assess commercial benefits, risks and financial implications.

  • Drive consistency and accuracy in global advertising dashboards and reporting for senior stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Project Delivery

  • Manage multiple concurrent strategic projects, ensuring clear objectives, timelines and deliverables.

  • Coordinate across Analytics, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Product and BU teams to ensure initiatives are aligned, well-executed and measurable.

  • Enable global transparency through structured communication, documentation and stakeholder management.

  • Support Corporate Strategy leadership  in preparing materials for executive leadership, including quarterly board updates, partnership reviews and strategic outlooks.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years in Strategy, Advertising Strategy, Commercial Strategy, or Business Development within a scaled media, technology or platform business; consulting or investment banking experience with a media focus is a strong plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field; advanced degree preferred but not required.

  • Proven experience developing and managing advertiser and platform relationships.

  • Strong ability to evaluate market and technology trends and translate them into actionable commercial recommendations.

  • Exceptional strategic, analytical and project-management capabilities.

  • Outstanding communication skills—able to influence senior leaders, simplify complexity, and produce high-impact narratives for executive audiences.

  • Exceptional research and synthesis skills, with fluency in both internal and external data sources.

  • Strong understanding of the evolving media, advertising and consumer technology landscape.

  • High commercial acumen and experience developing business plans, financial models or opportunity sizing analyses.

  • A self-starter comfortable operating in a matrixed, fast-moving, unstructured environment.
